Can anyone point me too a great quality Trumpet/Trombone, Wav or Soundfont.
I am writing a film score intro tune (think 'Indiana Jones' style) and need a great brass section !

The free sounds, are they .wav format?

The free demo sounds come as either a Giga or Multiformat Kontakt/Halion download so the wav,s are included with the patch info.Mighty_Hero wrote:The free sounds, are they .wav format?
Each patch only contains a handful of samples (however some include up to 6 velocity layers but only 2 or 3 notes)but these are stunning and stand up well to being mapped over a few keys, so some quite realistic parts can be played.{although the limited no. of samples in the demo patches means they are only useable over one and a half octaves or so )

I can highly recommend Dan Deans Brass Ensembles,especially for the new Price:

It has less articulations than the SAM-Stuff,but its by far the most powerful brass samples ive heard so far.
The best is however to mix the two.
