How much you would pay for it?

Post

From a consumer's perspective (i.e mine) I would say the cheaper, the better. Also, I'm a "try before you buy" kind of guy so would usually look to see if a drum plugin has a free trial version to test. My preference would be a timed but full functioning trial with no audio cuts. Just a timed trial with enough time to test & evaluate the product.

A quality drum VSTi at a lower price point certainly would attract attention. Not mine, however, as my drumming needs are simple and I use the MT Power Drum Kit (free) and it's more than enough. I might take an interest, however, if it had say the quality/functionality of something like EZDrummer at a much lower cost. Best of luck!

Most DAWs come with a usable drum instrument, I can't see something like this being too popular.

I am exclusively interested in high quality plugins of all sorts. My interest in low quality plugins is non-existent. The least I have paid is $0, and the most I have paid is $479 but that was many years ago.

Right now there is an extremely high quality drum instrument that I want for $49 dollars. I haven't bought it because as high as the quality is and as high as my interest is, my need is low. I probably will get it eventually.

Hope that helps. Can't wait to see what you're working on!

Depends on where your aiming. If you're aiming at SD3/BFD3 levels I would pay 90 money units easily. I'm only unloading BFD3 at the moment because I'm not interested in the direction inMusic are taking with it.

Personally something that has the character on quality of the BFD Horsepower expansion would more interesting than another rock/metal kit.

Why would I use this instead of ezdrummer or slate?

What genre(s)? There’s a reason SD, EZ and BFD have expansion packs.

Cubase doesn’t. But I don’t care. I have SD3.

Cubase comes with Groove Agent, which is probably the best of the lot.

Now that BFD3 has become unreliable, I would pay more than 90€ for something similar to BFD3 in terms of sound quality and features.

At this point, my answer is probably "I wouldn't be interested". There's far too many drum plug-in ecosystems as it is, so I'm not buying into a new one, nor am I buying a drum plug in without an ecosystem of expansions.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

I'm a bit the opposite. What I like about using Ujam's drum sis that they offer very few options/choices. You get half-a-dozen kits and that's it. You can swap samples between them but that's all. They are so quick and easy, I don't even bother with the presets, I just choose a kit from the first preset and go. Battery used to drive me nuts with the thousands of samples and hundreds of kits. We always ended up using one of the same three or four kits, the rest were just in the way.

Opens an account in 2004, uses it solely to get a feel for the acoustic drum plugin market in 2023, disappears once again into the mists of time. :hihi:
