What workflow actually gets your a-- to work?

Not to overthink. I constantly ask myself the question 'is this good enough'. If the answer is yes (which it usually is) I move on.

HARDWARE SAMPLER FANATIC - Akai S1100/S950/Z8 - Casio FZ20m - Emu Emax I - Ensoniq ASR10/EPS

Generally the workflow that gets me going involves creating a synth patch I like, resampling to audio, then chopping and stretching to hell and back (plus effects and such.) Works well for the specific kind of music I do though, so not sure about how universally applicable it is.

oh yeah, I do that the chop and reverse, re-order maybe layer over the initial synth sample, and the likes. Not a pro at it but I want to make it sound better over time.

strictly dividing up work into different fields: making software, programming presets or recording samples, composing, production, audio mastering, making master files.
