"Roland Cloud has discontinued its Concerto sample playback engine, a plugin that powers a number of Roland Cloud’s virtual instrument libraries.

Via Concerto’s intuitive interface, you can browse and load installed Roland Cloud libraries, combine sounds, add effects processing, and much more. Concerto’s multithreaded loading and streaming optimizes performance, allowing you to create massive sounds with minimal CPU usage.

With Concerto’s retirement, Roland Cloud has also set free the Anthology series of virtual instruments with the sounds of iconic Roland synthesizers from past eras, as well as Drum Studio, Tera Piano and Tera Guitar Vintage Steel, and the FLAVR series instruments.

In total you’ll find around 40GB of content, including deep samples synthesizers, electric piano, orchestral instruments, and much more.

All libraries are now free to download with the latest version of the Roland Cloud Manager. The Concerto plugin supports VST/VST3, AU and AAX formats for Windows and Mac."

I'm here to just plug free Decent Sampler vst and the pianobook website which also has free instruments that support Decent Sampler (as well as Kontakt and sometimes sfz). I'm sure it's probably been mentioned in the thread above - I only read the last few pages - but both are very much worth checking out.

Pianobook seconded. I think there's more there that needs Kontakt vs Kontakt or Decent Sampler, but there does seem to be a fair amount of DS stuff as well

My humble gift to the producer community worldwide, a new free sample pack called NIGHT FUSS.

NIGHT FUSS brings you a lot of drums and noises from the drumsynth 01/IV but also loops, melodies and weird sounds of all kinds. Besides that you will find recordings from a real violine that have been processed in different ways. Some of the loops and melodies have been recorded on an old 4 track tape recorder and resampled with hiss and saturation.

I hope you can find some useful sounds for your music.

Anyone know where I can download NORD LEAD.sf2? Everywhere I look, the site either expects me to register for the download, or wants me to pay for site bandwidth costs. It was mentioned in the second post of this thread, but I tried to get their free sample pack, and never got the e-mail from the VIP site (it wasn't in spam either): viewtopic.php?t=180989

Oh my, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I know it's been already like, what, half a year since this became free, but I'm not really following what is happening in the "free goodies news", so ... I will definitely be checking this out.
