Custom colours ? I was already way ahead of them with a full 3D custom .png graphical overlay system back in early 2016... oh well.

Is it free? Is it a paid upgrade? When I click on the link in Studio One, it takes me to a useless page on the Presonus site, instead of doing the upgrade on the spot. It seems like a really good point update, almost better than the upgrade from v5 to v6.

Point updates are always free with Studio One. Perhaps they're just rolling it out to Sphere users first. Eventually you'll see an "update available" notification in S1.

I can't believe anyone gives a shit about that. I'm a graphic designer, that sort of thing is my life, but it makes so little difference in this context that I can't believe anyone cares at all. What concerns me is that I know I will waste time using the f**king things or maybe it's time to decide to just use one colour for everything and be done with it?

It's usually the other way around - you see the update notification before the announcement.

I can't see anywhere where Presonus are saying it's free, which worries me. Has anyone NOT on a Sphere subscription got it yet? Is it still definitely a free update?

Have you never updated Studio One before? As long as you are on V6 - you are good to go for no charge.

If still on V5 etc - upgrade has a cost. But it appears Studio One upgrades are on sale all over the place - including the Presonus Shop.

As I said, that is how it has worked in the past but there is nothing at all to suggest it is still the case. You are jsut assuming it is. And yes, I am on version 6 so I would have expected an update link if it was a free update but no link has been forthcoming so far.

They are also putting a lot mroe effort than usual into promoting it, yet none of the promotional material says it's free, so until someone can tell me definitively that they have downloaded and installed the update for free, I am going to assume it is not.

Just go to your User Account and download the latest version, or click the "update" link from the Studio One start page.

So you have done it? Nobody else here has said they have and I saw nothing in my user account to suggest I could get 6.1 for free, either for my Pro or my Artist license. The only other time I had to go to my user account to get an update was for the paid upgrade from 5.x to 6. All the free updates have required nothing more than clicking on a link on Studio One's home page (the application's home page).

Studio One 6.1 is in the pipeline
