Nothing except CDXtract will open the ISO files. Poweriso and Magiciso, programs as such will ignore the file and won't open it. I only got as far as using an old Kontakt 4 version, and i'm able to somewhat play the sounds from it when placed in the Images folder in my documents. However the import function in Kontakt doesn't do anything either.

Try this: https://www.fmjsoft.com/awavestudio.html#main
In demo mode it can save one patch only.
Kontakt is a propriety format afaik (don't own it) but you may have some luck using an intermediate format such as .sf2

The last version of Kontakt that can import AKAI CDs is Kontakt 5 (very disappointing move from NI).
The way I do it is by mounting the ISO file with Daemon Tools. Then, in the Kontakt browser, the virtual drive will appear as an AKAI CD. It works for E-Mu CDs as well. Over the years I have used it to import all my E-Mu and AKAI CDs.
Of course, CDXtract can do all that too.

I think you'll need to be more specific. Because I mentioned that conventional image mounters don't work. Daemon tools won't open these isos for me. But I was able to track down a guide. I used Kontakt 4. When you make a folder called images in the documents it loads the isos as if they were mounted as a drive. But when I press import on them and select the folder where to save them, it just blinks and does nothing. Nothing gets extracted out.alienmachine wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 1:22 pm The last version of Kontakt that can import AKAI CDs is Kontakt 5 (very disappointing move from NI).

This guide will help. I've not had issues using Kontakt 5 to load AKAI/EMU CD images. Kontakt 4, I don't know.
