You should mention the driver version in your topic title. Now it's a bit clickbait-y.

This improve DPC latency overall and usually fix Nvidia

I always thought the solution would be to use Nvidia's "Studio" drivers: https://www.nvidia.de/download/driverRe ... /209201/de

These drivers cater for 3d creators and Adobe, 3d Max etc type of software. I don't think that these are tested with DAWs any differently than the "game ready drivers".chk071 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2023 3:30 pm I always thought the solution would be to use Nvidia's "Studio" drivers: https://www.nvidia.de/download/driverRe ... /209201/de
Moreover, the latest studio drivers 436.40 also note the same open issue
RN-08399-536.40_v01 | 14Release 535 Driver for Windows, Version 536.40
Increase in DPC latency observed in Latencymon [3952556]
They are actually pretty much the same drivers with the game ready drivers for audio (or otherwise) with the same limitations, give or take.

It means
if you observed an increase in DPC latency when comparing Latencymon readings between earlier Ampere-based GPUs driver versions and the previous one, those increases should have gone away now with the current one. (Given comments in the thread, they may come back later, though.)

Thanks for the hint! I've just installed the new Nvidia drivers and the DPC latency execution time seem to have dropped indeed for me. It was still OK before (usually less than 1000us), but now it seems to stay below 400.
