Does anyone know why my tracks out of tracktion render funny? Notes hang and the chords are off and out of wack. Someone mentioned a Direct to disk option fixes that but I dont see anything of the sort anywhere.

are they midi tracks? Are they audio tracks? What plugins or synths do you have? Sometimes just plugs with hi latency will get multiple audio tracks out of whack.
There are alot of tracktioneers out there who are willing to help...we just need a little more info.
Good Luck!

also...
If they are rendered tracks you are trying to burn to a disk, make sure the file is a 16 bit 44.1 file

So far theonly plugs i have a problem with rendering are Ravity-S and Musiclabs realguitar. Notes are sticking and its annoying, ill try that 1x option and see how that works.

Yes and no. There is midi on the tracks but they are routed to a Vsti and they play fine while in tracktion but when i render them, notes hang and the Guitar gets way off.

Then render each midi track to a wave file into the project,,don't delete the midi track right away,,just mute them,,Apparition wrote:Yes and no. Can you freeze each vsti track,,,then render..
The reason I say this is I had stuck notes before and they stopped when I froze the tracks.
But I didn't render from that position so I'm not sure,,,,, try it.....

Had to add -1.5 ms of advance latency to the track. Thanks for the help tho.

Just for additional info: apparently none of the regular Tracktion users starts at 1/1 with Midi or Audio material. Especially for rendering purposes the starting point is important. Seems like Tracktion sometimes doesn't cut Midi notes after stopping playback. While (re-)starting the rendering process you'll hear those "ghost notes" from the very beginning!Apparition wrote:Had to add -1.5 ms of advance latency to the track. Thanks for the help tho.

when rendering it seems Tracktion can sometimes provide fractionally flaky timing to plugins. Whilst not enough that you could hear, or even probably measure, it can trip up some vstis into playing neighbouring notes as legato, or for a few plugs with suspect MIDI handling of their own, cause hung notes.
Usually if I get problems the first thing I try is to fractionally shorten notes so they don't butt absolutely up to the next note.
