Maybe they'll introduce ”Waves 365”?
One can now run Windows on an iPad thanks to Microsoft's Windows 365, which is a cloud based PC with your choice of RAM, CPU etc.
Maybe Waves will introduce all their plugins running on a cloud based PC/Mac so you can offload your real CPU, RAM?
Maybe the service will first be exclusive with only Waves plugins and later on with VST3 (just like StudioRack)?
Who knows…

Only found out about this randomly today too, but there seems to be no way to register the serials atm while the site is undergoing maintenance, so was the deadline prior to 26th march?

The way I would have done this was to have a well defined deadline then extend the deadline for a few days or even a week to include more people.

I have been a master of procrastination for years now, this will be included in my diploma.
Waving goodbye to Waves after this, at least I didn't buy that many. H-delay and O-vox only, as far as I can remember.

Like the announcement on page 1 of this thread you mean?Kalamata Kid wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 12:09 am The way I would have done this was to have a well defined deadline….
Any plug-in installed via Waves Central is automatically registered as I understand it, so I don’t see what the issue is? Or have I got that wrong?
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

This is wayyyyy bigger than restricting resellers etc - Just got this email an hour ago and they just killed this...
"Waves Update Plan is no longer available for these products. In order to continue receiving many of the benefits that Waves Update Plan has provided plus new products, features & services, you will need a Waves Creative Access subscription."
You can continue using the current version of your Waves licenses (main license only; 2nd licenses are excluded) even if you do not have Waves Update Plan coverage. You may purchase a subscription when you need the benefits provided by Waves Creative Access.
Waves Update Plan is gone - and Creative Access is in.

Apparently you missed my earlier post. If "the announcement on page 1 of this thread" was well defined I would not be asking the questions.ramseysounds wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 3:56 amLike the announcement on page 1 of this thread you mean?Kalamata Kid wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 12:09 am The way I would have done this was to have a well defined deadline….

When the say the 26th, or third or tenth the company always gives it to the benefit of the costumer meaning the end of the day or 11:59 PM. I am not saying always but iirc this is how it is in most cases. When this was not the case as in Wotja the developers Pete or Tim clearly explained it.
viewtopic.php?t=590153
"Our 30% off Early Bird 1 for Wotja 23 Pro Apps will be the very best one and will run from date of pre-order through to Jan 14th (i.e. it ends on Jan 15th).
The best way to state it imo is "on the 25th at 11:59PM"

By the end of the 26th?
"Waves serial numbers cannot be registered after March 26, 2023"
On the 27th and beyond cannot register the Waves plugins.
I will spend some time today checking if I have any unregistered plugins.
But cannot as the site is undergoing maintenance.

I believe you have it wrong as the only way to give away the Waves plugin with no fee to is to offer the ones that are not registered. But then I could also be wrong.ramseysounds wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 3:56 am Any plug-in installed via Waves Central is automatically registered as I understand it, so I don’t see what the issue is? Yup, that definitely sounds like more than resellers being pushed out. I’m guessing the words “these products” apply to everything they make, but we’ll get confirmation soon enough.Vocalpoint Studios wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 4:16 am This is wayyyyy bigger than restricting resellers etc - Just got this email an hour ago and they just killed this...

The devil will be in the detail. If I can subscribe for a month to update everything I own to the latest version permanently, it would be a major win and better than the much-derided WUP. I think that’s unlikely, but just pointing out there is a way of implementing it that isn’t bad.
But most likely it will be bad. Even if they keep selling new permanent licenses, if you can’t then update them for new OSs then that’s a retrograde step.

Search “Waves Creative Access” and you currently get the same post from VI Control and nothing more. Waves really need to email this to more folks…

I call bullshit. No information on this on Waves' website or the official Waves forum, and no trace of "Waves Creative Access" anywhere. You're the only one who got the memo, apparently.Vocalpoint Studios wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 4:16 am This is wayyyyy bigger than restricting resellers etc - Just got this email an hour ago and they just killed this...

That links been there for, apparently, years. And it’s got a different name to the body of your ‘email’.
