No problem bro. Clearly this is a huge change and will trigger all sorts of emotions.
Rock on.

All Waves plugins are now subscription-only.
This is what you get to read in your user area if you try to buy updates:
"As of March 26, 2023, the Waves Update Plan can no longer be extended for Waves plugins which are now available as subscriptions only. Waves subscriptions include all software updates plus VIP technical support for the included plugins."
I own about 50 Waves plugins. But if they stick to this, they will have lost me as a customer forever.

Concur. I have about 15 and I am good to stay on the current single license for the forseeable future.opcode wrote: Sun Mar 26, 2023 5:22 pmI own about 50 Waves plugins. But if they stick to this, they will have lost me as a customer forever.

$14,99/month or $149,99/year for 110 plugins
$24,99/month or $249,99/year for 220+ plugins
+ updates...

No more perpetual licenses, and no more (perpetual) sales. Is Waves Creative Access the only way to get Waves plugins now?

Looks like we have a huge overhaul to Waves Central as well v14.0.6 just came down with all new graphics, the inclusion of the new Creative Access AND a huge set of updates for existing plugins. Which just failed for me after grinding away for a few minutes.
EDIT: Updates complete. My Existing plugins look normal and function properly.

...and since you can't WUP them anymore I doubt you can even sell your plugins (unless they are still covered)...beely wrote: Sun Mar 26, 2023 5:31 pmNo more perpetual licenses, and no more (perpetual) sales. Is Waves Creative Access the only way to get Waves plugins now?

I just migrated from an old 2018 Mac Mini to the new M2 UltraTurboWhatever and have waited to install all my Waves stuff until now as I was waiting for the yearly WUP Spring sale.
So now I have to pay 25 bucks _every_ month to use the plugins I've already paid for?
Nice!

Yeah I'm glad I'm on Windows now also, kind of BS to treat the Mac users like that.opcode wrote: Sun Mar 26, 2023 5:38 pm Thankfully, I am on Windows and therefore do not usually need to buy any updates to keep using my plugins.
Mac users won't be so "lucky".
