Is there a specific chair that's most loved by music producers?
My current chair is literally almost a 90 degree "L" shaped hard chair with almost no padding and needless to say, it's very uncomfortable. Looking to up my chair and desk game.
I know Herman Miller chairs are amazing, although way out of my budget. I'd buy one used, but I'm currently living in Mexico, I've seen some of them on Facebook Marketplace, but they're still around $1000 USD.

The chair is very important for music production. Sure, because
the producer has to feel comfortable. The way he sits down,
which chair he sits on and how comfortably, has a direct effect
on production.
And it is also important which music genre is produced. We
have to distinguish:
-- When it comes to "ambient" or "soft pop", a pliant, softly
sinking sofa-like, fluffy chair that looks almost like a four-poster
bed is important.
-- When it comes to EDM, you're more likely to want a hard,
get-up-and-dance-inducing chair.
-- When it comes to death metal, a metal chair, preferably a bit
rusty, preferably with metal prongs like a fakir, has to be the best
choice.
As always, the same applies here: Show me which chair you
are sitting on and I will tell you who you are!

I don't like anything too showy and obvious, but find this fits quite well, though a little more padding on the arms wouldn't go amiss and those swords don't half dig in sometimes...
You'll need a specialist furniture shop though, you can't get these on Amazon.

I've also been looking for a high-quality, ergonomic chair for long sessions. The OP should check out www.xchair.com for some other options that are available for new or used to fit their budget.

Is there a best cushion for the chair?
I wonder what happens if I press this button...
