As the title states. Is Slate Digital still actively developing new plugins?
It's been quiet for over 3-4 months now, since they released their last plugin FG-X2.
I know that they recently completed a takeover, and I feel that the progress has been really slow, if not stagnant, since Steven Slate parted ways with SD.
Does anyone have any insights on this?
I was thinking of giving their subscription a go (have used in the past), but I'm not sure if it's worth the risk and if we'll be seeing anything new anytime soon.

Slate is still active. But it seems like the focus has been on products like the VSX headphones and VMS mic system more than plugins lately. Slate seems to be seeing a lot of success with hardware products.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Yes, whenever I check their page on Instagram or even their YouTube channel, it's always mostly about the mic and mic system, which is still run under Slate Digital, along with the plugins.jamcat wrote: Tue Mar 28, 2023 1:26 pm Slate is still active. But the VSX headphones are a different company, Steven Slate Audio, which is still run by Steven Slate himself, and it's very much active.

Luke stays away from companies like Slate Digital, Waves, UAD, iZotope, Native Instruments, Plugin Alliance, Arturia etc.
Luke sticks to companies like u-he, DMG Audio, Fabfilter, Voxengo, TAL, TDR, Valhalla, TBProaudio, ToneBoosters, Devious Machines, Audio Damage, Minimal Audio, Klanghelm etc.
Luke is happy.

I used to like Native Instruments a lot, and then they became a part of Soundwide, same with iZotope. I don't have any strong feelings towards Arturia, just not my vibe. The others (Slate Digital, Waves, UAD, iZotope, Plugin Alliance), I myself try to stay away from these, however sometimes I get attracted to the skeuomorphism, overhyped marketing etc and end up subscribing. Has always ended in regret lol. My aim is to never again with those namesa9k1tp wrote: Wed Mar 29, 2023 1:06 pm Luke stays away from companies like Slate Digital, Waves, UAD, iZotope, Native Instruments, Plugin Alliance, Arturia etc.

I do like FabFilter, Minimal Audio, Valhalla, Devious Machines. ToneBoosters are good too. Haven't really given the others a go, but I'd like to try DMG Audio, but way too costly for me.
