Not sure what you mean by peak filter
- bandpass filter?
- multiband eq with Q-adjust?
Thinking if you look for "peak filter" and nobody call it that....I have never heard of it....

peak filters are filters used in eqs, they can be also called bell filters. they create a peak in the selected frequency. a bandpass is very different because it trim the frequencies above the selected frequency and trims the frequencies bellow the seleceted frequency. the peak filter just boosts (or cuts) the selected frequency, it does not trim above or bellowlfm wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 7:43 pm Not sure what you mean by peak filter

Parametric EQ do that or multiband EQ too.
Very useful for guitar pedal and tube amps, to shape where saturation occur.
Pedal usually have a dial knob for frequency, one for how much to boost or cut, and one for Q-value and how narrow it should be.
If you look more for those names I think you have better chance finding among devs.

a parametric eq is a set of peak filters wich migh also have a low shelf and a high shelf filter. ive searched for the term before. i was not impressed by not finding one for the minilogue since it is kind of a complicated fx with many parameters and it would be difficult to implement in minilogues interface. so i would be glad to just find a simple peak \ bell filter. that seems easy to implement as a minilogue fx plugin.

Your thinking of a graphic equalizer that usually have a set of crossover frequencies. But those are usually fixed.
So multiband eq is what you are looking for, quite often crossovers are adjustable. That suites your description exactly. Quite often you can pick shape if band if bell or something else.
Slim chance you find anything called peak filter.
But never looked for filter stuff for my Prologue, just user oscillators.

The parametric eq pedals I have are pretty much shelving at each low and hi end.
Then you have a choice to pick a frequency to operate on to boost or cut, how narrow so forth.
Or run it all flat curve.
But I think all eq plugins in computer I have are like multiple parametric eq's, and all crossovers can be selected and boosted or cut as you please, and very low and hi end shelving.
Looking at Miniloque/Prologue eq effect plugins you probably find something like that.
I just don't use effects unless necessary on Prologue, then you get full analog path.

The Roland XV series (e.g., the XV-5080) feature a "Peak" filter. I never understood exactly what it was for. But it did provide a different filter "flavor" that I used occasionally.lfm wrote: Wed Nov 16, 2022 7:43 pm Not sure what you mean by peak filter

Quite alright.
Modal Resonator full version create bugs when used sometimes. Some memory overwrite of some sort, and create some anomalies on every 4 voices on anything used after that preset with that active. Some "ding" sound. But power cycle Prologue fix that. So use the reduced version and stay with that.
It's free so nothing to talk about, really. We all have different taste regarding sounds we look for.
