It's excellent for plucked and bowed strings too - I prefer it to String Studio for those

Is this the result of text to speech set to a wrong language? Just curious…

String Studio has the Damper and Termination modules which create all sorts of modulated timbres/variations not possible with Chromaphone.

These days, Hive is where I turn for modeled plucked/bowed strings. Hive offers more control over exciter (shape and timbre) plus the AAS stuff is limited for modulation.

To my ears it has the same sound produced by Resonans Physical Synth:
https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... nthesizer/

In fact after listing closely, I'd swear that's 100% Resonans if it wasn't labeled differently.
Have you tried Vital?

hi, can you get resonator plugin (like Moodal), use any synth for "exciter" and have physical modeling sound ?

So far, that's the best synth I know in physical modelling category by far...

Should work with Supermodal... for polyphony you would need multiple instances of course.

Well, the Robotic Bean guy is now working for Reason, so he probably has finger in the jar. But Resonance was built around Mutable open source AFAI. My guess is it's not the same but as with any synth a saw sounds like a saw, and resonators will sound similar.

Yeah have to agree. Got most of early in my VST life, but it all there are better things around for almost all their stuff

Tass blew up on me once,
which really has thrown me a touch
but I like Strum
-the downer is the really limited pitch range it has

Tass has to be fair taken me to some cool sonic places too
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

I've never really gotten great results for bowed PM sounds with a synthesized excitation. I've had really good fun using sampled bow noise and assorted Foley type sounds ( moving gravel, chains being dragged etc) Into KS delays or even tuned impulses. I generally use pure data or reaktor for that sort of thing. The oscillations made with a bow like exciter in chroma phone just always sound a bit more tamper then I want. I dunno. I've heard other people do stuff with it that I think is grand but its been hard for me to get into the groove with it for some reason for making anything other than weird percussion.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.
