Even with all the changes for MPE here, what I miss in Ableton is the option for different panning of individual notes... do I miss a trick here or is it still not possible in Live??

Nice that the AAS devices now have MPE (more than their own do) but why no MPE for Operator still?

Man, I get why DAW makers just release stuff without any pre-run in their communities. So much complaining and whining.
Are there any DAWs where this does not exist? Every user base is continuously outraged that "FEATURE XCZ" has not been implemented. Seems like Reaper and FL user bases are more relaxed or less vocal than others, from what I can tell.

BiP = Freeze and Flatten. It's one operation compared to two.carrieres wrote: Tue Apr 04, 2023 10:07 am what the difference between "Bounce in Place" and freeze ?
Also, BiP in other DAWs usually renders the clip in question on to a new audio track. Some DAWs allow selecting where in the plugin chain you want this bounce to happen.

In other DAWs, BIP is usually clip/region based compared to freeze, which renders the whole track duration including all clips on that track. I think there is a simple Max4Life device that mimics BIP. Never used it though.carrieres wrote: Tue Apr 04, 2023 10:07 am what the difference between "Bounce in Place" and freeze ?

I just have this m4l device saved in my default set and pretend it's been a native feature for the last 5 yearsjules99 wrote: Tue Apr 04, 2023 10:23 amBiP = Freeze and Flatten. FYI this beta messed up the folders i had added to the library and i had to re-add them. some were gone and the others were greyed out and show as empty. so, one by one i had to re-add them via the "add folder" function.

IMO I kinda think the big version numbers are kinda irrelevant in Ableton when we get many new features even within the point, point (i.e 11.x.something) releases

These update are free an this one is huge if you are an MPE user! Live 12 will come, but it will cost a few hundred bucks probably, so I am happy with the free stuff!wvshpr wrote: Tue Apr 04, 2023 12:50 pm Boy, is this company slow. I would have expected Live 12 by this point.
Is it just me, but who cares about yet another subtractive synth with all the really good free options out there? Seems like they are buying time.

What do people think of the new Drift instrument, and can you provide screenshots or audio demos?
