this thing looks quite interesting but just a sample-maximum of 16seconds?
Are they kidding us.
The cost difference for them between 16seconds and (say) a minute should be a few cents for them nowadays.
Stupid business-f**kers....
16 seconds is a bit stingy, but after looking around this thing seems to pack a lot of punch for the cost compared to other units.jens wrote:a bit o.t.o.t.:

You might be better going for something like a Korg Electribe sampler. About twice the price, but you're getting a much more powerful phrase sampler with many FX built-in and the like. And no doubt much more than a few seconds sampling memory.jens wrote:Dunno - I could make good use of this thing live with one of my projects.
We're just two guys:
I'm playing guitars (&basses) and keys and doing programming
the other guy is singing, playing drums and keys and doing programming.
If just the two of us want to perform our stuff live we need to trigger some loops and stuff.
If the sample-memory would be bigger I'd probably buy this thing.
yes, good idea - that's my point:whyterabbyt wrote:Actually it has to be said, why dont these kinda things take memory cards? I mean, the cost of a CompactFlash card is minimal, and the interface chipset has to be be sodding cheap as hell now...
yes, maybe but first of all it's much more expensive and then it's much bigger.quincy wrote:You might be better going for something like a Korg Electribe sampler. Probably more suited to your needs than this thing.
