The object in the videos looks like a 3D object built from primitives so I wonder if this is utilising some kind of real time rendering or audio wave ray-tracing.

Just in time for the sale to have ended. If they'd have released the public beta before the end of the sale I'd have upgraded. I've been waiting for it to be M1 native before upgrading.xbitz wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 6:18 pm Sign up and be a beta tester for Apple M1 and offline.

But the cynic in me is thinking that might have been deliberate.
I'm never paying full price to upgrade to 12 from 11... $199? From 11 Suite to 12?
Hahaha.

They've been promising Apple Silicon support for R12 since the beginning with no intention of paywalling it behind a full version upgrade and internal M1 beta testing is well known to have been in progress for months now. Cynicism didn't pay off this time, sadly.Meester Smeeeth wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 7:41 pmJust in time for the sale to have ended. My point is, if they'd announced an M1 public beta a couple of days ago I'd have bought the upgrade. I don't care if it's deliberate or not, that was just an aside.Tronam wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 7:53 pmThey've been promising Apple Silicon support for R12 since the beginning with no intention of paywalling it behind a full version upgrade and internal M1 beta testing is well known to have been in progress for months now. After 20 months this could end up being the last major update to R12, so it might be worth waiting until R13 at this point.Meester Smeeeth wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 8:28 pm My point is, if they'd announced an M1 public beta a couple of days ago I'd have bought the upgrade. In the interest of transparency, we've announced that we'll only release free updates to Reason 12 during all of 2023 and that we currently don't know when a Reason 13 could be released. It's in this blog post: https://reasonstudios.com/blog/roadmap- ... as-agevik/Tronam wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 8:35 pmAfter 20 months this could end up being the last major update to R12, so it might be worth waiting until R13 at this point.Meester Smeeeth wrote: Mon Apr 03, 2023 8:28 pm My point is, if they'd announced an M1 public beta a couple of days ago I'd have bought the upgrade. https://reasonstudios.com/blog/roadmap- ... as-agevik/So what happens after Reason runs natively on Apple silicon and Reason+ has offline support? Well, lots. During 2023 we’ll keep adding features to Reason 12 to continue making it the best version of Reason ever.
So if you wait, you'll be waiting until next year. That said:
Does that mean we’re planning for a Reason 13 in 2024? The truth is we haven’t decided yet. For the foreseeable future we’re focused on Reason 12.
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 13 | i7 3770 @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro| Akai MPC Live 3 & Akai Force | Roland System 8 | Roland TB-3 | Roland MX-1 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD

You can apply if you have a full license. I did applied and then one day after I received their approval and a link to a page that has a link to the download.aMUSEd wrote: Tue Apr 04, 2023 1:34 pm Can you sign up to the beta if you have a full license or is it only for subscription?
It can exist with the stable standalone but will overwrite the plugin version. I did downloaded the Mac version to test on my M1 processor. They did it easy
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I think it's safe to say this is the case. You have to update all existing RE's to an Apple/Intel version, which was tedious if you don't do the "sync all" method, but easy peasy if you do.

Yes, the RE's is the major issue if you have lots of them. I do have lots of free ones that I didn't want to install most of them, so I ended up to not "sync all", but to install the ones I need only.
Most of them can be updated to Intel/Apple version (means the native Apple Silicon chip version), but some don't have.
Anyway, there is a reminder msg that pops up every time I start the beta, so I might end with "sync all" then delete the ones I don't want from the Authorizer.
A Great Beta by the way, almost final it seems

Reasonstudios must have the worst implementation of beta testing ever
Im user of Reason since version 1 and ongoing beta tester.
I can’t locate download link or any mention of beta under my account and yet when trying to resubmit for beta testing I receive-you are already on beta testing- LoL
