Though, I had to ask what the upgrade path was, and was told to scroll down to the bottom of the Tonex page. 119€ to upgrade to Tonex max doesn't seem worth it to me, with all the free great captures out there. I'm nervous because I have so many eggs in the IK basket. If they pulled something like Waves did, I'd be pissed.
TONEX is no longer on intro pricing as of today. The full prices were supposed to be 399.99 MAX and 299.99 Standard (that's what you would see as crossed out pricing before today) but we lowered those and added upgrades. Normal pricing for TONEX and TONEX MAX are now set to:

TONEX: 199.99 full / 149.99 upgrade
TONEX MAX: 299.99 full / 199.99 upgrade

Well, ain't that a shame...
Absolutely not worth it to me, now.

Studio MAX 4 should be at €200 soon and the upgrade at 100 which seems fair enough. You can always skip a release if it doesn't feel worth it.

Exactly. For all the restructuring, IK always did two things - 1) offered better deals for bigger jumps and 2) took 12-18 months for the deepest discounts to appear.

So many people fail to see this. So on Black Friday 2024 when upgrades to Total Studio 4 are $99 for all, people will gripe that the shiny new Modo Bass 3 and Tonex Ultramax aren't included. Then a few months later, they will all be in Total Studio Ultramax, and we all go round again.

Simple rule here - you can have it first, or have it cheapest, but not both. (See also Native Instruments pricing).

I own all the components of Amplitube 5 Max (just not purchased as the Max bundle), except for the new v2 X-pedals. I've ping'd IK sales before, and there's no consideration for what you already purchased that makes up the bundle. Frustrating when in fact I invested more for the individual elements of the bundle, but still have to pay the same as someone who's purchased nothing thus far. Similar situation to some developers offering a "complete the collection" approach (which encourages sales).

SLiC wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 10:57 am IK has greatly simplified the upgrade process for returning customers, introducing a single upgrade-for-all policy. Regardless of the IK product purchased, all registered IK users will now have access to any software product at upgrade pricing. To be eligible, the registration of any paid product, be it software, hardware or even just an app, is the only simple requirement.
Am I reading it correctly or do users who own one product get the same upgrade price as those who own fifty? If so that would be on brand for IK.

If I click on Crossgrade/Upgrade in my IK account all I get is:

No indication as to what upgrade. The page dead ends there, no links.

I was hoping AmpliTube and T-RackS were “renewed” with all-new ML-based modeling.

I just checked and there are 107 entries in my IK account going all the way back to the year 1

IK 040623-2.png

Now some of them are freebies or gained through group buys etc but if someone buys a single product today and gets the same treatment as someone who has been doing business with IK for over two thousand years then yea like I said....that's on brand for IK.

With this renewal, IK has also reduced pricing between 30% and 50% on the majority of its award-winning software products, making these powerful music production tools more accessible than ever.
Where? The only TRacks plugin that I don't own and do want is still $99. :?

SLiC wrote: Thu Apr 06, 2023 12:43 pm Just took a look- upgrading will be cheaper for some but way too expensive for me (I have MAX 3.5 and TONEX MAX so get almost nothing I need and its £300)
Your mistake was getting ToneX Max separately. With Total Studio, you should *never* buy any newly released plugins separately, just be patient and wait for the next TS release which will include them. Otherwise you essentially end up paying twice for those plugins.

It's weird that IK does it this way. With Arturia for example, each new synth or FX plugin you buy separately tends to count towards the upgrade price when the next version of V-Collection/FX Collection comes out.

It looks like there’s actually 2 upgrade levels from this page - https://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?id=T ... o4Released . Regular upgrade is from owning any paid product, Maxgrade is from owning any Max product. So the three tiers for Total Studio are:
Total Studio 4 MAX – $/€799.99* – 170 products, over 640 GB of sounds
Total Studio 4 MAX upgrade – $/€499.99 (for registered owners of any paid IK product)
Total Studio 4 MAX MAXgrade – $/€299.99 (for registered owners of Total Studio 3 (or 3.5) MAX, AmpliTube 5 MAX, T-RackS 5 MAX, SampleTank 4 MAX, TONEX MAX, Syntronik 2 MAX and MODO MAX)

Logically, upgrades from TS 3/3.5 MAX should be in its own, €199 tier. TS3 was a lot more pricey than just e.g. T-Racks 5 MAX.

The Bus Compressor.

I think there are only 5 TRacks plugins I don't own and that's the only one I want. The rest I had a chance to get during group buys but passed on in favor of others or don't need like the Mic Room.
