Just to be clear - SQs could be called demos. If someone starts outlawing all presets, we're all in big trouble.

Everything still unclear and no reaction from Vengeance /Manual.
Maybe this has been previously already discussed, but who is going to search and find it in a thread with about 1000 pages!!!
By ignoring current confusion Vengeance even creates an even more doubtful image of a dev who seems to hide something.
A clever, honest and decent dev would open a new thread to bring some light into this obviously important matter.
They don't seem to care about their reputation, though and leave their (potential) customers in the dark.

The lines are so blurred, it only seems like a matter of time before someone tries it on.

For anyone who hasn't seen it already, this is a fun little video on a similar subject;

There's one more famous example.
Prince used a stock drum beat of Linn Drum programmed by famous drummer David Garibaldi. Prince just changed a very little bit, he was known to use Linn Drum a lot and 777 9311 became one of the funkiest tracks ever, also his bass and guitar playing was amazing.

I think (and hope) he's written more than this, because in isolation that's crazy. He's literally saying the EULA shipped with Nexus and Avenger doesn't apply to Nexus and Avenger.

Also - and I really do like Manuel, but... "excuse my briefness, I'm on vacation" (That's fine! It can wait!) "but this is the last post I will make about this". (oh).

You can use Avenger and it's sounds for making Commercial music.

It is the One finger song presets that will get you in trouble since they are used as examples of what you can do with the sounds if i am understanding this correctly.

Manuel will absolutely ignore all these comments posted here, the next POST from him here will be promoting some new expansion or hinting at a release date for Avenger v 2.0, which is also uncertain...

You have an odd presentation here, on one hand you are praising Avenger, and on another you are tongue in cheek, and negative. It's funny. Just confusing to me lol.

I think enough has been said on the matter and we should just keep this thread the way it's supposed to be for updates.

I do not pretend that my answers nor my position are to your liking. The topic here is not for you to decide, if we continue talking about this or not, if you don't like what is being commented or if you think that something is negative according to your beliefs, I am sorry, go read something else. As long as Vengeance does not fully clarify these gray points, there will always be room for suspicions and doubts, reason why users, and I include myself, make comments about it. If you like or dislike what I think and say, or if I change my mind, I'm sorry it doesn't fit your criteria. Let's keep making good music, it's the only thing that matters and we know. :?

I never ordered anyone to do anything, nor do I want you to pretend, nor have a problem with what you're saying. I said " I think we should", that's all. And a lot of this has been addressed. The ambiguity I don't think will ever go away. I know publishers don't even know what is going on with sample clearance, exactly. So I'm done personally with it. I enjoy having you around though, and find you a fresh of breath air actually.

All Cool! thanks.

I am really surprised about dev's reaction, is he really not clever enough to see that this important matter needs a thread of his own?
And he really thinks everyone joining this tread will read the thread from the beginning to find out he repeated something every 10-20 pages? Aren't there new buyers or users every 10 - 20 days, who could have the same questions?
Don't they sell 10-20 units of Avenger per year, is business running so bad?
And I simply do not understand his reply.
Construction kits and loops are not allowed to be used in commercial tracks?
They offer drums, but you can't use them?
Really? So why do they include drums in Avenger?
Is Avenger just a kind of demo version?

Hi Leo,
Alan Morris is a programmer who has collaborated in many expansions of Avenger and Nexus (look for him on youtube/facebook), yesterday he answered me when I asked if the sounds or loops or sequences/arps, etc. can be used commercially if you bought the expansion and he answered me the following :)
