That was a bit nasty of him. Particularly since anyone's yet to hear any of his music.CypherOne wrote:my singing is worse than my playing. nuff said.

I know, but he has a point. I don't think he actually does music, he just hangs out here to look like he has friends.donkey tugger wrote:That was a bit nasty of him. Particularly since anyone's yet to hear any of his music.CypherOne wrote:my singing is worse than my playing. nuff said.

opium and absynthe are great for getting over your fear. Though they may instill new and worse fears while under the influence...

Ok copper, you got me bang to rights. Since I've been caught slagging your stuff off, I'd better go and give it a listen.CypherOne wrote:don't try and back tracking now...nuffink wrote:You got in before me. I learned to sing (poorly) by singing along with my favorite bands as I was growing up. My favorite bands would include Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure, OMD, New Order, Eurythmics, Howard Jones, Duran Duran, The Beatles, and a lot of other British bands. The result is, I'm American but I sing with an English accentGwydi wrote:On a related note; what to do about accents? I have an English/Australian accent which means that my vowel sounds are different to American singers. For example, the word "can't" when sung by an American, rhymes (roughly) with hands, but in my accent rhymes more with "hard". If I sing with my accent, it sounds "wrong" because the vast majority of music I'm exposed to is American. Does anybody else feel that way, and what do you do about it?
