Neve console version coming soon.

Just went over and read the description. This looks very promising!
Thanks for the tip!

I am on Live for many years now. Jumping platforms for this is a bit overkill tbhjamcat wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 7:48 am If you’re looking for crosstalk, use Studio One and its proprietary Mix FX. There’s a Neve model, an EMI REDD model, a PreSonus model, an API model, a Tascam PortaStudio model, and 3 SSL models (4000, 9000, VHD+)
The Mix FX plugins add preamp drive, analogue noise, each console’s unique tone, and proximity-based crosstalk (where crosstalk only comes from adjacent channels.)
I have indeed. I tried it in real life. I eventually stopped using it pretty fast.El°HYM wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 7:38 am Coming from different Angle; have you ever thought of an old mixer to achieve your exact goal?
I don't know that yet as I read about it on the Dev homepage but did not go into detail-did not read 100% of the text.El°HYM wrote: Fri Apr 07, 2023 9:58 pm Does it also finally crosstalk to its neighbor channels like an old console would do?
Yes, analog mojo of any kind is non-linear - and this means that proper gain-staging is key. The more analog mojo stages you add, the more care you need to put into gain-staging.CinningBao wrote: Fri Apr 07, 2023 3:57 pm However, you saying you want to be able to add a thing to make magic in your channel strips whatever-the-volume, is unreasonable. If you stick a thing in it and your signal is above 0dB, you'll be slamming the ever-loving life out of whatever you're using to add mojo.
Od you could instead of course simply use a plugin that adds crosstalk, rather than switching DAWsjamcat wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 7:48 am If you’re looking for crosstalk, use Studio One and its proprietary Mix FX.
As far as I know, Studio One's Mix FX are the only truly authentic analog-summing effects whose crosstalk is proximity-aware and not limited to only stereo pairs. This is how crosstalk occurs in a large format console.jens wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 6:37 pm Od you could instead of course simply use a plugin that adds crosstalk, rather than switching DAWs![]()
This is precisely why I put each track through a "tracking" channel with a console + tape, then route to a "mixing" channel with a second console plugin, and work on the tracking and mixing stages separately with two different mixer views.jens wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 6:34 pm Yes, analog mojo of any kind is non-linear - and this means that proper gain-staging is key. You lost me there...jamcat wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 7:12 pmThis is precisely why I put each track through a "tracking" channel with a console + tape, then route to a "mixing" channel with a second console plugin, and work on the tracking and mixing stages separately with two different mixer views.jens wrote: Sat Apr 08, 2023 6:34 pm Yes, analog mojo of any kind is non-linear - and this means that proper gain-staging is key.
