Hi,
Ive landed a project that requires me to do sound for an animation film. the animation is like a video game and they want sound to match. Somethin like the original 'Mario bros'.
I have reason 2.0/SX at my disposal.
I was wondering what to use. Sample libs and all.
All help appreciated.

I would just use the Subtractor with single-oscillator patches (mostly square wave), and very short amp and attack times. That should pretty much cover the NES sound capabilites.

Not sure if this will have sounds you are lookiing for or not, but there is a free Reason refill made of sounds from various sounds from the chip used in the Commodore 64. It seems mainly focused on percussive type sounds, but may contain some things you can use. You can download it from here:
