No, they changed that policy:
"Bitwig Studio 5.0 is now in beta and can be tested by anyone with a Bitwig Studio license and an active Upgrade Plan. You’ll find the installers in your user profile. The official release is planned for Q2 this year.
This is a free update for all license holders with an active Upgrade Plan at time of announcement (April 11, 2023)."

Good move actually!

Yep, when I saw that I was pretty pretty pleased about the timing of my Update Plan, as it runs out tomorrow. Kudos, BitwigThomasHelzle wrote: Tue Apr 11, 2023 6:33 pm No, they changed that policy:

Is it possible to open the pop up browser always with the same setting ? Like always with "everything" and "tag" options ? Or if I want to use those options I have to set them each time ?

Yes, you can save specific defaults for the different areas. For example Note FX, Instruments, FX. The new browser is buggy and this function has issues currently. It will get fixed during the beta process.Jolaff wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2023 11:55 am Is it possible to open the pop up browser always with the same setting ? Aaah fiew ...I was wondering what this save setting was for since it didn't worked in any situation and this nice browser was pretty much useless to me without this...pdxindy wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2023 2:11 pmYes, you can save specific defaults for the different areas. Yeah, at this point, think of the browser as a WIP... there are various significant bugs and some refinements needed.Jolaff wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2023 3:01 pmAaah fiew ...I was wondering what this save setting was for since it didn't worked in any situation and this nice browser was pretty much useless to me without this...pdxindy wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2023 2:11 pmYes, you can save specific defaults for the different areas. Yes, some type of pitch correction is top of my list, but until then I use Melodyne Studio and process off line...Lets be honest, Live has been around 20 years and they don't have it yet!a9k1tp wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2023 3:02 pm They finally gave us the almighty MSEGs.
Still no ARA support??? Or give us a Melodyne alternative please.

It would also help if people would read the release notes so they understand how the new browser works. Bitwig included about 2 pages of detail re: the new browser in the release notes.

Almost every time Bitwig reaches a whole new number I upgrade and get excited. But Ableton always drags me back in the end. A formidable hold on my production workflow, Ableton has.

I am happy using both for different reasons. Currently enjoying Live 11.3 beta and Bitwig 5 betaDrGonzo wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2023 3:31 pm Almost every time Bitwig reaches a whole new number I upgrade and get excited. That's why I switched to Bitwig. Live is nothing compared to Bitwig. Bitwig should now take inspiration from Studio One, Cubase and Logic. Focus on Midi Editing and Pitch Correction are the only big things I find missing?SLiC wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2023 3:19 pmYes, some type of pitch correction is top of my list, but until then I use Melodyne Studio and process off line...Lets be honest, Live has been around 20 years and they don't have it yet!a9k1tp wrote: Wed Apr 12, 2023 3:02 pm They finally gave us the almighty MSEGs.
