Best lush long-tail reverb for vocals (drenched with reverb)?

You could try the reverbs in Reaktor. So much good lush stuff in there. SpaceMaster2, Rev-6, and user library synths with great reverbs you can extract.
And of course running reverbs in series, one for the dense lush cloud and another for length, eg: Eos into Valhalla Room.

Great suggestions, Reaktor and running verbs in series.xalama qo wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2020 10:45 am You could try the reverbs in Reaktor. So much good lush stuff in there. SpaceMaster2, Rev-6, and user library synths with great reverbs you can extract.

Have you tried VOS Epicverb? It's 64bit now and it's FREE!

That part at 1:57 just sounds like a "throw" into a delay/reverb send combo probably with some BG vox layering. Doesn't sound particularly unique or special or difficult to achieve or lush to me - most reverbs should do this. Try Valhalla Supermassive, it can do this easy.Ou_Tis wrote: Sun Dec 22, 2019 1:52 am For example, I'm wondering what c (aka Grimes) might have used on some of her more recent tracks, for example here (around 1 minute 57 seconds in):
Surprisingly, she says she used Manny Marroquin reverb a lot on Art Angels... though that was 4 years ago. The long-tail reverb on these new songs seems different... maybe just more extreme?...
Besides, if Blackhole sounds "thin" to you then I can't help you much

Part of the issue with Blackhole is that the "Gravity" knob controls both density and decay, inversely related---so it can do dense reverbs, but apparently only at the expense of the decay. In contrast, B2 and Adaptiverb are fantastic. But they're getting old, and it seems like 2caudio and Zynaptiq have really declined over the last few years. OTOH acoustics of course haven't changed....MogwaiBoy wrote: Sat Apr 15, 2023 11:50 pmThat part at 1:57 just sounds like a "throw" into a delay/reverb send combo probably with some BG vox layering. Try Valhalla Supermassive.
Supermassive sounds flat in comparison. The extreme low cpu usage is nice, but B2 and Adaptiverb do a lot with that extra cpu.

Something I have done to get simular results is to place a compressor after the reverb. Around -6db reduction, fast attack and long release. Maybe give it a try with a few verbs you have?

TaiChi (full version) is quite lush if you max the chorus and use all the controls and compressor etc. - I’d say it’s probably one of the most lush on the market. Otherwise, try ye olde and badly supported Lexicon native reverbs.

Interesting---the audio examples I've heard on vocals haven't sounded very lush, but I guess I should demo it. It definitely sounds wide.vitocorleone123 wrote: Sun Apr 16, 2023 2:03 am TaiChi (full version) is quite lush if you max the chorus and use all the controls and compressor etc. - I’d say it’s probably one of the most lush on the market. It seems like HDCart or some of the Acustica reverbs might be closer to what I'm after, but it seems kind of ridiculous when they're emulating algorithmic digital reverbs from back when computers weren't nearly as powerful.

I’m still primarily using the SP2016.

Or better yet, try the new Arturia Rev LX-24. Sounds great, IMO.vitocorleone123 wrote: Sun Apr 16, 2023 2:03 am TaiChi (full version) is quite lush if you max the chorus and use all the controls and compressor etc. - I’d say it’s probably one of the most lush on the market.
