After the successful launch of my synthesizer Altitude (viewtopic.php?t=594058) earlier this month, I am proud to release a new, free plugin called Regency.

I have been working on this on-and-off for the past few months (my main focus has been on Altitude). It's a really interesting take on phase distortion, with two main twists:
  • You can freely draw the distortion curves
  • For each generator, there are 3 distortion curves, which are applied in series. This is where the name "multi-tiered" comes from.
It has a unique sound. Personally I have found it to work very well for creating interesting bass patches, although as the factory library demonstrates, it's also capable of creating traditional pads and leads.

Key features:
  • 2 generators with 3 distortion curves each, and hard sync control
  • Ladder filter with 4 modes and key tracking
  • 3 effect unit slots with 6 effect types (flanger, pattern delay, trancegate, EQ, delay line and bitcrusher)
  • 3 modulation DAHDSR envelope generators with configurable curve tensions for the attack, decay and release sections.
  • 2 math modulators with S&H, smoothing and custom remapping.
  • 3 multi-segment LFOs
  • Modulation matrix with over 200 modulation destinations are available and 24 sources.
  • Focused and streamlined user interface with custom skinning support and scaling ranging from 100% to 300%.
  • Highly tuned performance, including native support for Apple Silicon "M1" processors.
  • Over 60 builtin patches in the factory ROM.
  • Save and load presets for individual units and curves. Or directly copy and paste parameters between units in a patch.
  • Completely custom C++ DSP code without the use of libraries or frameworks, for a sonic layer tightly coupled with the user interface.
  • No copy protection or DRM.
  • CLAP support with polyphonic modulation, and including many of the latest draft extensions: context menus; preset load; param indication; remote controls; preset discovery; plugin invalidation.
  • MTS-ESP tuning support is available in all formats of the plugin, including standalone.

Let me know what you think! :D

No ring modulation like in the CZ synths? Looks cool anyway.

Hello! These synths look great. Congrats! Any chance of vst3 versions becoming available?

Sorry about that, antivirus software typically wary of new software. Hopefully once more people have downloaded it, its 'reputation' will increase.

Thank you :D

Not currently. But I am told that my plugins run just fine under the clap-wrapper: https://github.com/free-audio/clap. You'll have to build it yourself though (there are guides out there for this).

Very nice, thanks a lot. CLAP support, does it mean we can use Bitwig modulators on voice level?

Thanks, you've been on a roll lately! I am still enjoying Altitude and Integrate.

Of course, yes! I'm making sure to support as many CLAP features as possible in my plugins ;)

Great work, and it does MPE seemingly... I am happy... I'll propose it for the next OSC...

How do you uninstall this? I have Windows 8.1 and I can't see it in my 'Add or Remove Programs' list, after I installed it.
