The answer might be to make these NAND submodules which can pack closely and stick out the back of the main board...

I like this build concept in general. I've built this way before with generic modules. It really facilitates prototyping. What are you using for CAD tools?

Finally adding a proper sub woofer to the studio.

Screw the neighbors......

Recorded a completely different version of Space is Deep than I did the other day, but still not happy with it. This version instead of psychedelic synths goes a lot more boogie woogie at the end.

Are you safe?

I’m using KiCad. It’s really only intended for actual PCBs, but if I follow a few rules (stick to 2.54mm grid, use straight lines, top traces can’t cross components) then it is still a very helpful tool for planning perfboard or stripboard layouts.

some low frequency oscillations.

Took a detour on deep diving specific modules in the rack and switched to using Strega and 0-Ctrl with the rack.

I followed the Make Noise video of Strega into QPAS (and not included in the title, into Mimeophon).
I added Beads at the end and did my attempts at “ambient” which I have never done before. Definitely not sure what to think of the results but those videos are great for trying things I wouldn’t have tried before.

re that video, it came up in chat, that the star mults, not only can be used to stack gates, but cv too.
so long as it's a make noise star, and voltages. according to walker, and he knows!

Isn't this just "mult mixing?" When modules have an output resistor, typically 1k, you can plug them into a mult and get a crude passive mixer. This is a common technique used on the ARP2500 because the matrix sliders are really just switches that mult outputs and direct them to other inputs.

could be. ive never claimed to be knowledgeable about this business!
pretty much thought that was what buffered mults were for? or do they just add the output resistance as an input?

I still need to watch, but this is what I recorded yesterday... First attempts at "Ambient"

These are studies... not much more than that. Just trying it out and that's it.

The second one is noisy, so not sure it counts?

streaming some morphagene of last nights patch at the minute, so will check them later :tu:
top tip, record your ambient patch to morphagene, slow down to as slow as it will go, play your patch, over the top 8)
