A soundset that straddles ambient/downtempo/psychill, it can easily be repurposed for a variety of genres. While beginners will benefit greatly from this soundset, more experienced individuals will be pleasantly surprised as well - and if you haven't heard of Noisemaker, it is very much worth seeking out.
Onset consists of 45 patches sorted by category. Warm creamy pads meet subsonic basses, interspersed with delicate plucks and glistening keys. You will also find inspiring sequences and arps, and a handful of FX and drums. As always, every patch has a few dB of headroom reserved. Tal Noisemaker uses the pitch wheel (instead of the modwheel) for hands on control and every patch has this assignment, as well as velocity. Please note that Noisemaker does not support aftertouch. The use of pitchwheel instead of the traditional modwheel can yield some interesting results due to it having a bipolar effect instead of unipolar – good for experimenting with!
