Reaktor was the second piece of music software that i bought (2002). i remember when the NI engineer was showing me Reaktor at NAMM, control panel, lotsa knobs, cool, then- he opened the builder window and i swooned. Bought it the next day. Still my all time favorite and if i was off to a desert island with a solar electric system and could only take one software it would be Reaktor with no challengers.

I consider it the greatest vst ever made, it can do so many things, nothing is close to it, maybe Falcon but still Reaktor is like nothing else.

Totally agreed - amazing piece of software engineering

Reaktor session was my first vst after I switched from reason 1.0 to logic 5. I was used to ensembles taking 40% of a 2 core cpu. Still so crazy to see those older ensembles using almost no cpu 20 years later.

Falcon does great things but it's a closed eco system and you're at the mercy of what the developers are providing you in terms of modules , modulation systems etc..
Reaktor otoh is pretty much open ended

if you really want to be blown away check out the enseble sirius 8 by trial n error , it rivals any commercial plugin out there , the (zdf ) filters are amazing .

My first exposure was from their Christmas gift of Micro-Prism, that really shook the tree. Discovered jewels in the user-library, bought Prism, Razor, and Polyplex, then Komplete added Monark, Form, and more Blocks. Still have many favorites from the user-library.

Think I'll get some playing tonight.

Form is incredibly underrated. It's an absolutely amazing synth that can transform any sample sound to something incredible. If I could keep only a single ensemble on a desert island, it'd be Form (provided that I had access to my sample library!).

Oh yeah, I've barely delved into Form but it's the most magical one-shot sampler in existence, it's basically cheating.

Here's the small version of the Reaktor ensemble I created back in 2015/2016... the bigger version is probably the tallest Reaktor ensemble, ever created. 2x1080p vertical by 1920 wide

Yes Reaktor is awesome!

My only gripe is the preset saving and browsing feels clunky to me, but there is a lot of really good stuff for it.

Wow, guys, thank you for all your Reaktor ensemble suggestions. These are good, handpicked stuff...I've been waiting for Apple Silicon update like no one else.
