I can't seem to find an answer for this question anywhere.
Whenever you update Surge XT (e.g from 1.1.2 --> 1.2.0), should you uninstall the previous version before you install the new one, or do you just install the new version over the old one?
The installer always seems to be the full one, so I have always uninstalled the old version before I've updated (since strictly for update installers usually aren't as large as the complete full ones), but I would like to know if this is completely unnecessary.
The only info I can find about updating Surge XT is about going from the old Surge 1.9 to Surge XT. This info doesn't help me tho.
Grateful for any insights!
Updating Surge XT - should I uninstall previous version beforehand?

No, just intall the new one on top of the old one. It will just replace it.

Danilo is right. Just install over the previous stuff without worry. It'll never mess with user preferences/patches etc either, that stuff is untouched by our installers.

Thanks guys!
Was going crazy trying to find some info about this simple question. When software needs to be uninstalled before updating, and you forget it/don't know about it, it can completely mess things up, so I didn't want to try installing over the old version before I knew that it's okay.
