Arghh i'm an idiot. So the M1 version is now 3.2.2. Lets you open the app and then prompts for a Rosetta install for the NTKDaemon. Same as before sadly.JonathanLevine wrote: Tue Apr 18, 2023 12:51 pmDid you download the right version?12bitcrunch wrote: Tue Apr 18, 2023 9:30 amThere’s no installer? Opening the package just prompts you to drag the application into the applications folder.JonathanLevine wrote: Mon Apr 17, 2023 1:26 pmThat's because the installer isn't native, the application itself is.12bitcrunch wrote: Mon Apr 17, 2023 12:38 pm Yeh... so Native Acess (3.2.0) used to run and then during the app loading process asked me to install Rosetta.
Version 3.3.0 asks to install Rosetta before it will even open

There are two versions of Native Access 2; one for Intel Macs and one for Apple silicon Macs. Is it still prompting you to install Rosetta 2 if you download the Apple silicon version from the site above?

Here's the official word from NI on it, looks like Rosetta will be needed for some time:

What's the issue with NI stuff?
I have a few M1-native things installed now for a couple of months and have never installed Rosetta on this Mac.
Was it an update to Native Access that borked stuff? I'm scared to open it, although Amused above has said there's a fix for something (NA?)

"Please grant permission to Native Access to install Rosetta. Please restart Native Access and try again. Release: 3.3.1"
They've not exactly nailed the hotfix they promise in the release notes...

VSL released the first native version, the Synchron player. Hope their piano player follows soon, spec now the grands are on sale this week.machinesworking wrote: Sun Apr 16, 2023 7:24 pm Credit where credit is due here. Audio Ease, PSP, VSL, Air, Nomad Factory, AudioFinder, Sononym, and Metasynth among others are mostly not transitioned, if at all.
One big missing one is the Lexicon PCM bundle. It already took them 1,5 years to upgrade 32bit to 64bit for PT AAX when they migrated. But the silicon transition is almost 3 years now.
PSP on the other hand are native.

To clarify you mean PSP's Lexicon plug in, because Mix pack, Stereo bundle, N2O, MasterComp, Neon HR etc. etc. are still not native.eagle007 wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 11:50 amVSL released the first native version, the Synchron player. The ones I checked were. Infinistrip, Saturator, VintageWarmer2 and some others. But they are not completely done it seems.machinesworking wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 2:20 pm To clarify you mean PSP's Lexicon plug in, because Mix pack, Stereo bundle, N2O, MasterComp, Neon HR etc. etc. are still not native.

You are talking about their most recent or used products.eagle007 wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 3:07 pmThe ones I checked were. Infinistrip, Saturator, VintageWarmer2 and some others. PreQursor2 for example still needs to be updated.
I suspect their will release new plugins covering the duties of their Mix series as they did with Saturator and Impressor

I’ve asked them about the Mix pack a while ago, and they told me they won’t port it, at least not directly. They’ll release updated or modified versions of the included plugins, and as a Mix pack owner you’ll get a discount, but this will be it.machinesworking wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 2:20 pm To clarify you mean PSP's Lexicon plug in, because Mix pack, Stereo bundle, N2O, MasterComp, Neon HR etc. etc. are still not native.

Kinda caught that was happening, I wonder about Stereo Pack? I asked about N2O and got a “no timeline” answer and that the FX were in their bundle for Cherry Audio modular. Hopefully they port it…nanostream wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 10:03 pmI’ve asked them about the Mix pack a while ago, and they told me they won’t port it, at least not directly. Is Native Access automatically updates itself or do I need to download and install it manually?12bitcrunch wrote: Wed Apr 19, 2023 11:10 am"Please grant permission to Native Access to install Rosetta. Please restart Native Access and try again. Release: 3.3.1"
Doesn’t Native Access automatically update itself on launch?
They've not exactly nailed the hotfix they promise in the release notes...
Never mind, NI Access needs to be downloaded manually
Installed and work fine

The VSL synchron piano player is AS native. I hope they release soon the other synchron players as AS, but they said they focus now on VEPro to release as AS.eagle007 wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 11:50 amVSL released the first native version, the Synchron player. Looks like Teilo is on extended annual leave, no updates on website for more than a month…
Hope he is OK and nothing serious…
He is usually active on multiple forums but, seems to silent for unusually long time…

I wish there was a way for other users to contribute data to the site.Atlatnesiti wrote: Fri Apr 21, 2023 12:55 pm Looks like Teilo is on extended annual leave, no updates on website for more than a month…

An "unverified" tag for plug-ins that get updated with Apple silicon support and are put into the database by another person could be useful until the site owner actually marks it verified to confirm that it does actually have compatibility.
