NI Reaktor, I forgot how awesome it is

Anybody know of a good resource for advanced Reaktor 6 tutorials? I'm really itching to get back into building stuff and I want to start out at the really advanced level (99.9% of tutorials on youtube are super basic level and useless), especially when it comes to the current way of creating User Interfaces in Reaktor 6. I have tons of old macros and tricks that applied to the way you built stuff in Reaktor 5 but I guess things have changed a bit? At least looking inside Monark, Razor etc it seems the way to build really well working stuff needs all the UI elements in a separate macro which also contains all the snapshot storing stuff and then send the whole thing as a merged packet to a "synth engine" macro, where all the actual DSP is done.
So yeah, any resources you guys have on advanced level Reaktor 6 building would be highly appreciated. I don't mind paying for these resources either.

For instance, does anybody know and can explain how the Mux and Demux systems work? I know I don't really have to understand them to use them but sending large amounts of control data (knobs, mouse position etc) from one place to another seems like this is the way to go.. and being able to truly understand how it works would help in debugging.
Also, does Reaktor 6 still have that weird event ordering behavior or is it now possible to control which events arrive when? Or is it still depending on when you insert the event modules into the ensemble?
Alternatively, anybody know of a really modern User Library shared synthesizer/sequencer/whatever that uses mostly core modules and latest up-to-date UI building blocks? Would love to study something like that.

“xbitz” uses MUX and Reaktor in tandem very often and seems to know the MUX quite well…bmanic wrote: Fri Apr 21, 2023 4:09 pm For instance, does anybody know and can explain how the Mux and Demux systems work? Eh? I mean mean multiplexing and demultiplexing modules within Reaktor (a way of sending multiple signals in a "single" cable). Was wondering if anybody knows how those actually operate.
Edit: Ah no, found the Reaktor standalone app. Looks like I had an old version installed too.

Since there are some here who've worked with Reaktor, would someone like a project to try?
I asked at the NI forums, and some said they were working towards it, but no one got it.
Seems like it should be relatively simple.
Add release (note off) velocity to the util note in module,
so that it can be used as a mod source, like you can do with velocity, aftertouch, etc.
A pic might help, so it would be adding the stuff outlined in the red circle:

You need to do all modifications to the module in the Ensemble view/mode. Just load up that particular .ism into an ensemble (or use the Save Rack as Ensemble option, then load that ensemble) then poke around it in there. As all the other midi stuff is there, you'll probably find the note off information too.
Can your keyboard/controller actually send note off velocity information? It's not as common as one would think.

I was asking if anyone has done that. I know NI is capable, because Massive X does it splendidly.bmanic wrote: Fri Apr 21, 2023 7:48 pm You need to do all modifications to the module in the Ensemble view/mode....
I was working on it, and got it to work, but don't know how to incorporate it into that module so that it can be used globally.
When that (and a few other things) happens, I will agree that Reaktor is awesome.
And yes, my keyboards, and a lot of my vsti's are RV capable.

From his old website. Chrome says page Not Secure. That probably means Certificate not up to date. Malwarebytes and Avast didn't even blink and if there's an issue with a webpage Malwarebytes will warn me in huge blazing red letters. The best ones are : Bouncing Ball, Delight Delay, Echophonic, Floodverb, Inity Delay (Ohmboyz clone) just tons.

Oh that's not my ensembles. That is boscomac. Not bManic.. and yes, they are excellent! Among the best ensembles ever released for Reaktor.

LMAO. I'm sorry bmanic, I thought you were boscomac and that was your nick. Dementia takes its slow toll... Oh well. Yes, these effects are top shelf.

I think I understand, but that does let allow me to flip through the presets within Reaktor with a button push, only the ones I save inside of Reaktor. Right? I’d love to be able to flip through the internal Reaktor snapshots / presets easily.bmanic wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:33 amIf you happen to use Reaper, it's never been easier before. You simply save your sound as a preset in Reaper, that's it. Done. When opening the preset, the correct ensemble and all correct values are restored (including stuff that isn't meant to be saved in a Native Instruments preset! Like the Monark backpanel).vata44 wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 5:01 am Yes Reaktor is awesome!
My only gripe is the preset saving and browsing feels clunky to me, but there is a lot of really good stuff for it.![]()

Well you have to do the work first, save each preset you want to have in your own favorites list within Reaper.. but yeah, then you can simply flip through them.
