Jupiter 4 was June 2022... we've just all become really impatient, I think. Some companies release new products at a far, far slower clip than this.andypryce wrote: Sat Apr 22, 2023 8:36 am Hey Brian,
I guess no more legacy instruments?

Hey, friends. Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm back. I was out of office, on tour with the band.N 4 LIFE wrote: Fri Apr 21, 2023 1:06 am BRIAN FROM ROLAND! You're alive! Congrats! We thought you was ded.
Hey, ReiKru & randomtestsubject. The Alpha JUNOs are some of my favorite Roland synths as well. I'll add these votes to our weekly request report. If you are interested in the famous sounds of the Alpha JUNOs, try the Hoover patch in the JUNO-106. I highly recommend it. Thanks!
Hi, Atlatnesiti. The VST3 Silicon compatibility updates are in progress. We are working actively on compatibility updates as well as new products, but we want everyone to be able to access the RC instruments so we will get them out to you ASAP. Stay tuned!Atlatnesiti wrote: Fri Apr 21, 2023 1:45 pmDon’t care about gifts but, Roland plug-ins are only ones blacklisted in Cubase 12 Pro on my MacCaine123 wrote: Fri Apr 21, 2023 9:19 am Welcome back Brian, please give us some new releases and and gifts ;D
Why?
No vst3!

Hi, Luka_Kostii. Just for you!Luka_Kostii wrote: Sat Apr 22, 2023 5:36 pm C'mon, Brian, bubba, spill some beans on JX-8P ACB plug-out, will ya? I think at least a million people asked for JX-8P ACB model in this thread alone. Roland still don't give no flying hooter? Not that it's not typical or anything, but.. just bring that motherf already.

Brian.McClelland have you thought of bringing back Roland JP8080 (not 8000)?

Lol, that weekly request list for the alpha juno must be many entries by now.Brian.McClelland wrote: Mon Apr 24, 2023 10:21 pm Hey, ReiKru & randomtestsubject. The Alpha JUNOs are some of my favorite Roland synths as well. I'll add these votes to our weekly request report.
But it is really sad they never go from that list to the productionlist.
Just say no, it aint that hard.

I did try these plugins but they're unusable to me. They all sound the same, lifeless, it seems Roland is using the same algorithm with different settings for all plugins. JD-800 Kontakt libraries sound better than Roland plugin. Presets are amateurish and CPU optimization is poor.
Take, for example, the free Virus C emulation by DSP56300. It sounds exactly like hardware (its digital output), and CPU usage is amazingly low. This is how you do it. A guy from DSP56300 even asked for JP-8080 DSP designs yesterday. Roland should provide it, they would do the emulation properly!
But I suppose Roland Cloud is nice for true Roland fans...

Brian.McClelland well if you are looking for things to add to the weekly list please add the Roland SH5. I have a hardware SH2 & SH101 but I really like the earlier generation. The System 100 sounds great but the SH5 adds in the bandpass filter amongst other things.

Right-click, set latency blocks to zero, and get back to us. It wont report correct CPU usage, to the host, without the setting. The Motorola emulations are nice, but CPU light they aren't.frag wrote: Tue Apr 25, 2023 8:41 am I did try these plugins but they're unusable to me. Whilst I prefer how Roland did their D-50 plugin (both accuracy and CPU usage wise) I'm not sure many would share your preference for samples over their Zenology JD-800. Even when it comes to digital hardware it can also be a bit of a moving target too. EG Apparently, Roland changed the JD's filter code in the later firmware revisions (filter cutoff is 1kHz lower), and it's this later version that the Zenology version goes with. So, depending on your firmware, even the JD hardware wouldn't necessarily sound the same as other JD hardware

Thank you dear stranger for opening my eyes!
I know understand that JD-800 and JP-8080 are different synths

Agree, D-50 is the only plugin with distinctive character.PAK wrote: Tue Apr 25, 2023 11:04 amRight-click, set latency blocks to zero, and get back to us. Couldn't agree less. Rolands synths are some of the best in the business. Preset packs has also gotten a whole lot better lately. Definitely pro level at this point.frag wrote: Tue Apr 25, 2023 8:41 amLet's hope they won'tLbdunequest wrote: Tue Apr 25, 2023 5:29 am Brian.McClelland have you thought of bringing back Roland JP8080 (not 8000)?![]()

I just want a JX-8P to load into my System 8.
And maybe a Jupiter 8 rev2 with the Circuit Mod from the J4
