"Legendary V2" updates just announced on their their FB and in cloud manager. VST3 updates among other things.
Downloaded the Jupiter 4 update, and while it looks very slick, it's popping and clicking as a VST3 in Ableton on my mac. Can any other M1 mac VST3 users confirm? It's somehow performing worse than the VST2 did.

THIS X1000!!!! Been asking Brian M for years. All I get is “we hear you”. Roland has no intention of doing an ACB JX-8P. I’d wager our System 8’s are officially deprecated (despite the fact you can still buy them new).

DONT UPDATE!!!!
Just posted this on GS:
haha wtf, i just checked the new ones and it is totally unusable with cpu spiking now, never had that here on my macpro,
it fecking eats 10 total threads/5 cores on triggering some notes, crackles and pops all around.
Goddamn what a amateurish BS is this Roland.
They killed those 3 plugs now LOL. No way to go back to the earlier versions ofc, great beta testing guys. Kudos

I had to swap the components from my backup disk to revert. It is really not working in Logic. Just a warning, backup your V1s first. Old versions are not really cpu efficient but are not eating away half of my mac at random spikes. Alo it is not even needed to trigger notes, sometimes editing the GUi is also enough to trigger the massive cpu load.
OSX monterey Logic 10.6.3 here. Didnt try on logic 10.7.7 coz that one is bugged as hell too

BTW the new UI surrounding the synth GUI reminds me of IK Multimedia

it's strange that a lot of it is duplicated functionality. all of the traditional buttons of the old GUI are still there for things like Option, Setup, Help, and About.Septic Underground wrote: Wed Apr 26, 2023 8:06 am BTW the new UI surrounding the synth GUI reminds me of IK Multimedia![]()
also the duplicated functionality for the Patch Browser and Patch Management.
i'm not sure why it was necessary to add all that in the new header space, yet retain it all in main GUI.

I havent opened the old ones in a few years, but boy, do they look dated. The new synth GUI is much better, the patchsystem also, dont really like the bloated things around the synth GUI. Also there is still no way to hide the keyboard I think? Softube / TAL did that way better

Quickly tested the new versions (OS X 10.6.5, Logic 10.7.7), and I think I'm also seeing the same CPU spikes. They happen kind of randomly, but I also managed to trigger them a couple of times by editing the GUI. Didn't test them in a project yet (just opened a single instance and played around), but yeah, definitely needs fixing...Septic Underground wrote: Wed Apr 26, 2023 8:02 am I had to swap the components from my backup disk to revert. Is Circuit Mod available on System's 8 plugout? Can anyone confirm? I don't see any System 8 firmware update...

Steady, steady there, fella. I asked Brian to spill some beans on ACB JX-8P and he posted a meme of a guy spilling a pot of beans at the office. Now, unless Roland started some major trolling courses for the employees, or Brian is just a douche for a living, he might as well be giving us, JX-8P waiting room occupants, a clever hint. Like saying it without actually saying itEnochLight wrote: Wed Apr 26, 2023 12:53 amTHIS X1000!!!! Been asking Brian M for years. All I get is “we hear you”.
