I thought I heard a live mode mentioned in one of those demo videos earlier in the thread, but I could be wrong.
tbh although the wait has been incredibly long, the update sounds great and is exactly what I want and expect from Zynaptiq. However, I don't need it this second and have plenty of other vocoders, so I will likely pick up a used license later on after I can't take any more lusting after it. Which is exactly how I've purchased all my other Zynaptiq plugins.

Indeed, Dennis statet in the video , that there is a "analog mode" with no latency.
But it has 24 or so modes, no ?
Adaptiverb is allways sucking down my latency.
i stopped using it !
"I´d guess" his soft FX´s are FFT based ?
which would explain it.
...low latency mode probably -a wild guess- just beeing a low filtercount setting ?
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

It seems to be available to purchase but, and this part is key, it will only be released on May 1st. So in other words: they'll let you pre-order.Krakatau wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 7:04 pm https://www.zynaptiq.com/news/

Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Ok, well...we're waiting?tq wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 7:23 pm No, it‘s already available, minus the manual. If you „pre-order“, you can download it. I know, as I already bought it and use it.![]()
How is it? Amaze-balls? Meh? How many Daft Punks are included with the purchase? Worth the wait? How does it compare to other vocoders? Stable? How's CPU? Why are you not answering these questions? What are you hiding?
How many iLok licenses? 1?

It‘s great, you get tons of Daft Punks with it, and it was worth the wait (IMHO). Has a nice synthesizer built in, too. Vocoder types do have distinct sounds, so you really get more than one vocoder. Still exploring it… Will check CPU and iLok when I am back at my studio computer. And I am hiding a Leprechaun in a chest at the end of the rainbow.

O.k., some more answers. CPU use is substantial, but depends on the algorithm and the modules you add. The thing has a synth, vocoder, pitch quantiser and FX built in, and if you add more of that, it naturally drives CPU use up. The LPC modes seem to be particularly hungry, and I could push my M1 Mac (in Logic) above 80% for one core. Most algorithms seem to be more around 30-40% here, with the synth as carrier (and playing chords) and FX on.
The synth is pretty fully featured, with two oscillators (20 wave forms each), several OSC blend and distortion modes, 4 filter types, pitch mod, and whatnot. Also, has a separate randomiser function.
One iLok license.
As for the previous question: It's an effect and a synth, but the synth section does not come as a separate plug in. (In Logic, this comes as a Midi controlled effect.) However, you can switch off the vocoder etc., and use it as a regular synth. It comes with a gazillion of presets, too.
For me, this is more like a vocoder lab than a vocoder. Lots to explore here.
Also, I found it quite logical, despite being complex.
For me, a thumbs up. Pricy, also in terms of CPU, but lots of fun.
