hi guys, i am desperately searching, if there is anything at all, to get this automated maybe.... i got some BEST SERVICE sample cds and there is always a small sound at the end of each sample which sucks, it looks like this

Image

i splitted the audiotracks with WAVEKNIFE which saves so much time, but sadly even if i set better gaps this sound is there and/or the gaps are too small and some samples get cut up by themselves....

is there no tool where you can say maybe "cut always 1-2 ms from the endpoint"?

thx

Is that end sound identical in each file? Maybe denoising with a noise print can fix it.
Sound Forge probably can do it via GUI batch processing, same for fades.
If you can script (/ generate matching command lines for) it, Sox does it for free - if the denoising process doesn't harm the remaining audio.

You can do this easily using the 'Macro' function in Audacity, by using the 'select', 'delete', then 'export' commands.

I have one I use here - you'll need to change the 1 second in the 'select' command to whatever you need;

Go to the tools/macros menu and import the file. When you run it on your files they will output to the 'macro output' folder in Documents/Audacity.

You can use Reaper for this. Can load all the samples with only one drag and drop. Select separate tracks then select all and reverse, make a selection of 1-2 ms from start an cut with a single command (must select all the items). Glue items, reverse back, again glue all and you will find the samples on the default render path.
