Using Midi Velocity to automate audio volume

I have a Behringer Pro-1 which is not velocity sensitive but would like to find a way to use the velocity information from the recorded midi file to write the volume automation on the recorded audio track, as an easier way of getting some natural articulation into the part.

Does anyone have an idea how I might go about doing this? I use Logic, but I would be open to using another DAW (on Mac). Thanks!

Piz midi plugins has one that midiConverter3 that can convert between all sorts of midi events to another, note on/off with velocity included. Get it over to other midi CC or similar.

"Change and convert between CC, Channel Pressure, Poly Aftertouch, Program Change, Pitch Bend, NRPN/RPN, Note On/Off, and other messages in various ways. Pitch Bend and (N)RPN conversions will use the full 14-bit values when possible."

Daws usually allow to convert to automation from various midi events too. Not sure what is best in your case.

A big collection to pick from

For mac too.

I used on windows only, not sure how VST or AU is in this collection or Logic compatibility.

Thank you. They are VSTs but I'll see what I can do with it.
