Okay. Since I have the Perfect Storm software bought long before that date but need the latest update, does that apply for that since the update was also available before that date?2ca wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 5:37 am 1)

I'm working on a new reverb which is something in between Aether and Breeze. The reverb alg is almost fully ready and sounds pretty good. I just need to finish up the GUI/SDK part. The re-working of Aether will come next as there are lots of things to improve in 17 years old alg. The work goes slower than I want it to progress as I have to take part in side projects to have some money for living (2CA was my only source of income). plug-in works already natively on M1/M2 and VST3 support is implemented
2) the situation has nothing to do with a war between US and RU. the problems started already in 2017. Though the war made the consequences worse for me. Some of my money that I had in US stocks got frozen due to sanctions
3) regarding buying 2C plug-ins: please be advised that all 2CA sales are illegal. 2CA sells software that contains predominately my intellectual property without my consent and without sharing profits with me. All users who purchased after 9 may 2022 (the date 2CA was officially notified about copyright infringement by my lawyer) are effectively using illegal software. Those who care about that could ask 2C to provide a legal proof that they hold all the copyrights to the software that they sell online. I would be glad to see such a proof.

So buying the update would make it illegal?2ca wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 7:26 am yes it does. I have been receiving my profit share until 1st nov 21. All who purchased until this date effectively paid to me so all they qualify.

No offense Ploki, but I hereby nominate you for the "most pointless post of the year"-award.

Great to hear this. Interesting description: "...somewhere between Aether and Breeze..." Looking very much forward to trying your new design, whatever form it takes. I learned a lot about the seeming esoterics of those units from reading the (sometimes unfinished, nevertheless useful) manuals through the years,... which I appreciate as much äs the creative take on the effects themselves. I do hope the fabulous idea in B2 gets some of your love at some point as well and becomes further developed. Although one can do a lot with dynamics/dist pre/post/between reverbs (or other audio fx), I always felt the ideas in B2 were on a different level, incorporating such routable signal manipulations within the unit in the cascading style. You hear in this thread how useful folks think this is after all this time. Anyway, reverb has come a long way during the years, helped by faster more efficient workstations...You are definitely one of those forward-thinking devs that can bring us perhaps some device we didn't know we desired... like B2. ...and for the record I do love Breeze2 amd Aether. would maybe change the way EQ and damping interfaces work but... very nice results, esp with lots of desire to Experiment. We'll be waiting2ca wrote: Thu Apr 27, 2023 5:37 am 1)

guys, thanks for input and support. I'm thinking about modular reverb as well. Unlike B2 that has two identical engines I'd like to experiment with an idea of having a selection of completely different engines and even make a type of engine that is open for 3rd parties to code.

Hope that you start a new chapter and put the painful past behind you - release new reverbs yourself, make a decent living and enjoy the success of your hard work. Sending you positive vibes and best wishes Denis2ca wrote: Mon May 01, 2023 5:22 am guys, thanks for input and support. I'm thinking about modular reverb as well. Personally I would prefer effort be expended in the customer's direction by getting 2C Audio products back into production and support. Its a giant ripoff otherwise. The complete disregard for us customers is the true crime in all of this. Everything else is drama, I personally didnt sign up for. Get your sh-together guys. At this point I dont trust either of you as far as I can throw you so you've lost my support unless you get 2C products back on track or give me a refund.

I don’t think that’s possible at this point, and even if it were, it doesn’t appear that Denis is the partner you need to be appealing to.
All Denis can really do now is move on and do his own thing.

I'm developing my own plug-ins and some of them might be a replacement for 2C products.
What I can do for legal 2CA users is to offer them a free copy of my product(s) when they are ready in order to appreciate their past investment into me.
