Works fine on my M2 Mac Monterey as well. Doesn‘t suck at all…

You’ll get hundreds of great little blocks, almost every parameter has its own modulation input, the sound quality is excellent, and it’s dirt cheap.
I finally got the Nano pack few months ago and second this, its pretty much mind blowing. The modules are incredibly well designed and often more versatile than one would expect. As a whole much more refined than Hettrick's set.

I use a handful of ensembles, but Reaktor is mostly Blocks for me. Endless sonic playground and in excellent sound quality.

Reaktor is mostly Blocks for me too. I hope they will never discount it.

Rounds Delay and Reverb in Blocks are the best sounding delay/reverb to me ITB. I use them as insert effects on any audio and sometimes drive my hardware synths through them despite having great outboard effects. They are that good.

Wonder who the developer is? Perhaps worked on other great effects.

here is the Rounds reverb only but with 16 delay lines
and version with 32
enjoy

Wel the rounds reverb and delay are based on Rounds Ensemble developed by Max Zagler , the fx in Rounds are done by Dietrich Pank , he's been there since the early beginnings of N.I.

It'll only work as long as Rosetta is a part of the M1/M2 family. Once that is gone, so is Absynth (for new mac users that is.. windows should still be working just fine for the next decade or more).

Most of the time EDs posts are great, but he trolls a bit in terms of macs, best to ignore it and get on with life.

For the record Absynth is sketchy on my M1, it’s the price of progress, and NI’s scorched earth policies deprecating anything they can.

Oh and Reaktor is amazing, so happy it’s M1 native now, bought a KK88 mkii, and it’s great to have kk Reaktor patches running!

NO need to ignore Ed's post about mac , he is just stating how it is .

This thread was started by someone on Apple Silicon happy that Reaktor is native. The truth of the matter is NI are flatly as guilty of their deprecated products not working on Mac as Apple is, that's how it goes when you deprecate a product. For every "works fine on my PC", there's someone that it will not work fine for. I've heard plenty of Kore death stories on PC.

I do love Reaktor, and Kontakt, I've own Komplete since V2, I don't hate on them and I wouldn't even be talking about any of this, if their forum moderator didn't step in with the whole compatibility thing, in a thread celebrating Reaktors move to Apple Silicon and a new found love for it.

Wouldn't it be better to be talking about Reaktor ens? That's all I was attempting to point out. Ignore the friendly trolly jabs from invested people, and enjoy the ensembles! :)

In both cases it's best if you really love the product to "freeze" a computer with the deprecated software on it. Ive got an old Mac pro I mainly use as an orchestra library server that houses Absynth, hopefully forever. :)

That is exactly what I've always done. Make sure I have at least a few old computers laying around. Absynth is one of those magical synthesizers that really does make it worth it.

Heck, it could be worth creating a pseudo-hardware synthesizer from it.. make a bare bones PC system, shove it into a controller keyboard, make a Windows boot that loads up Reaper on startup with a template that has Absynth setup on 16 different tracks, all with their own midi channels ready to go.. then just have a HDMI/USB3 port at the back to connect to some tiny touch screen, enough for selecting basic parameters.
