Synth Studies: Shapeshifter

Finished writing it up, adding a few more patch ideas along the way. The thing's a beast!

this particular module, perhaps not for me (at the moment, got enough sound sources for now) i look forward to reading through these when you get more done. always good to see/read other peoples patch ideas if not the module specific information. although, im sure that will be useful too, in some cases at least when it's a module i have or have interest in getting.

Was trying a few synths to work in combination and set up my desk with Deepmind 12, Digitakt and TD-3. Seems a good mix, but it’s made clear I could do with some layered stands to prop up small desktop units (a) so I can fit more in the space and (b) angled to make it easier to access their controls. From what I can see I can probably make do with buying and repurposing laptop stands from Amazon rather than pay through the nose on Etsy.

Started to notice a significant problem in Logic over the last while as I start playing with my train set again. Got it sorted with some help. I am going to now update my main template and hopefully get on with it.

Last couple of day I have been testing out a lot of free audio enhancer vst plugins most make my audio sound really muffled or they do not drive the audio hard enough. I am running a 11 year old to run my internet radio station I have been using Stereo Tool along side my radio automation software it is using a decent amount of resources on the computer I want to switch to a vst plugin that uses less resources. The quality of the stream is 160kbps OGG which helps with good audio mastering now if I were streaming at 64kbps to 96kbps AAC audio mastering would not help as much.

Here two I found that sound really

Stardust it is a Limiter Compressor and EQ it gives really good results

KT C analog style compressor it does not have a lot of setting put it give very good results

In 2 or 3 days I should have picked a vst plugin that I will roll with

Discovered my microGranny had trashed its micro SDcard. It killed another one before I'd realised what was going on; it seemed there was enough battery power left to run the processor, so it mostly looked like it was working, but maybe not enough to read/write the card safely.
And because it wasnt loading samples, the only obvious symptoms were that it wasnt outputting audio, not that the SDcard was f**ked.

Problem is, replacing the battery on a microGranny is an absolute pain because you basically have to disassmble the case completely. And although I have a 9V battery clip with the right power connector which was on my desk all last week, I couldnt find the f**ker, spent 20 minutes looking for the bastard thing.
In the end a 9V PSU worked, or at least this time it played audio and didnt trash another SDCard.

Wow. I had never considered the potentiality of a low battery actually trashing the card. Will def pay more attention.

Spent the evening earmarking modules and synths for sale. I want to cut out things I'm not using and free up some cash for some stuff I may use plus right now way things are I think I'd also like to have some buffer funds in the bank. This goes completely against my hoarder instincts so for some reason fills me full of dread. I have no idea why. Logically I don't think my life is drastically improved by owning things I don't use.

I didn't make any music over last year, as I came to conclusion it will all eventually be handled by AI and there's no demand for human music producers making more loops and beats.

However, this had not happened yet so I'm back, investigating the opportunities for AI-assisted music production tasks, and their business potential.
In short, am I able to create something that will bring profit, on my own?
