It only had Giga support in the never-released-to-public beta version.

Synthfont has a vsti version of it that i think support Giga. You may consider try it or keep an eye on it for the future.

No
it was planned for release - but then giga 3 arrived and i think Rene wanted to avoid all the hassle of explaining to customers that no this version is only compatible with giga sample 2 files
but he did say recently he was looking at being able to play giga 3 files - but having finally seen one inaction im not sure how it would handle the gigapulse stuff - its not a straightforward convolution system at all - impulses appear to be able to change on note on note off or nay other thing you can think of
but still you can hope he can do it

If no ones creates an inexpensive Giga 2 player, it would be a shame. Giga 2 support (with disk streaming) alone would be great considering the number of top-quality libraries in this format.Posted: 10 Dec 2004 12:56 reply with quote

This is good news. Does it mean that you will release SFZ+ (real, no beta) with .gig compatibility if there will be no legal boundaries?
It would mean that. Unfortunately, the case seems to be there -are- legal boundaries so far.
