I think it’s too late especially once he sees foosnark’s latest purchase

They use his favorite word “mysterious” to describe it and don’t get him started on the name of the company with Mystic Circuits.
This is all great “get off my lawn” material

Magical appearance?

No magic involved. Just technology. Definable, labelable, sensible, technology. Technology functions that can be easily communicated by just describing what the feature is, in technical terms. A universe emphasizing precision and de-emphasizing hype.
Also, a world without ants. Little f**kers are invading my lawn. Nothing that some properly labeled chemicals can't cure though.
So yes, I ordered a module as well. A module with labels, normal labels that describe normal and identified behavior. The kind that normal people buy. Also, I KILLED SOME GOD DAMNED ANTS GOD DAMN IT...LITTLE f**kers...OH...AND THE GOD DAMNED MODULE COST TOO GOD DAMNED MUCH!
Also, there's no doorbell by my gate, which is always locked, as it should be. If only someone would invent an ant-gate that keeps ants out, that would be great!

Which module? Caltrans or another?
My Caltrans just arrived today. I’ll likely get a chance to use it this weekend.
Ants… Man they’re a f**king pain.

No, caltrans is reasonably priced. GAS pried my wallet open for the 292t. f**king vintage hype machine. If my DIY variants sound as good I might be pawning that off for something that's actually worth that much, we'll see. It definitely won't be something with magical labels though.elxsound wrote: Wed May 10, 2023 9:05 pm Which module? Caltrans or another?

Wait until the audiophiles get involved in the scene. "Oh, this module, which is nothing but passive rare earth passive devices (read rocks glued to a panel), really widens the soundstage." What's next, oxygen free patch cables? Maybe a patch cable purifier that you have to use after patching so that a cable used for DC voltages for too long won't polarize and distort the signal now that it's carrying AC.

I wonder if I can kill them with sound? This sounds like a new module. The Ant-Anti, reversed for extra clever. What should the controls be? Maybe we should get Noise Engineering involved, they're going to want to call the Antibarem Repeleseram or some shit.

1AM for me, so I get to see it eight hours before you. I'll report how good it is here, so you know.
