It's not real clear that Cubase SX3 has a new arpeggiator on board but after working very hard to get al my arpeggiator patterns in the new arpeggiator of sx3 i can say only one thing:
INCREDIBLE.
This is by far the best arpeggiator i have ever seen. Everything i want from an arpeggiator is possible.
Some examples:
- pattern based arp's (just play in your pattern and transpose it over the keyboard)
- pattern based chords
- Pattern based arps and chords together
I really love this new enhancement of sx3.
To let you hear what you can do with this amazing tool i've created a small mp3 file with some of my Arpeggiator presets which i have played live to record these parts.
the following patterns are played:
- Guitar pattern
- Trance Arpeggiator pattern
- Trance chords
- Ambient pattern
- 303 pattern
Al these patterns are played live with the help of the sx3 arpeggiator.
You can find the mp3 here: http://www.planetz.com/Pulsar/files/mus ... iators.mp3
Anyone else discovered this fantastic tool yet?

Thanks for the tip, very interesting, and just another reason for me to finally upgrade to SX 3. If they could simply fix the damn "Midi drag'n'drop from plugin window" bug

Arpache came with SX2 already, is this a spiced up version?

Yes, definitly, the old one was just a standard arpeggiator. It's still available, but there is a new one called Arpache SX. You can drag and drop every midi part you can think of in this arpeggiator. It's even possible to add drum patterns in this arpeggiator and trigger this through the Arpeggiator.cptgone wrote:Arpache came with SX2 already, is this a spiced up version?
My mp3 shows several possibilities this arp can do. Including triggering multiple notes at the same time.

that's a combined sound.Pawelm wrote:Hi mate,
Whats instruments did you use in your demos?? I loved them especially the pad demo with like the sine wave top, what was it?????
one is embracer (not sure anymore, it;s a long time ago)
and the arpeggiator was connected to the FM7 (the sound was made by pressing the init edit buffer)
both sounds were activated with the speaker icon on. Then the strings sound are playing without arp pattern and the fm7 with the arp pattern running.

One question:
Is it also possible to assign/import an existing MIDI part from the arrangement into the Arpache (like with the good old Cubase Prase Synthesizer) ?
This was possible with one click with the previous Cubase versions.

I don't suppose anyone wants to start uploading patterns for this most Awsome addtion to SX3.
I think right here at KVR would be ideal .. So if you create something that you want to share. Save it from Arpache SX and write up any special instructions in a readme.txt then upload it here to the Banks/Patches section.

Has anyone spent any time making a tutorial or more tips on using this great device? After playing around with it a while and going over the manual I am realizing that I must be missing some key concepts on how this effect works. I am fairly new to using arppegiators and am a bit confused by the manual's explanation of how to use Arppegiators in general and Arpache SX specifically. Thanks!

it's easy, what you have to do is play one part in a midi part. next drag that midi part to the arpache sx and set trigger mode to arp style. for sort mode choose note highest.adun wrote:nice !
I like the guitar-arpeggio most, how do you create it ?
that's all

I'm working currently on a similiar arpeggiator plugin with enhanced features, pattern manager, etc.If you like this type of arpeggio, you can download some audio examples here:
