SBR's video sealed the deal for me. Though I'm not going to preorder anything from Perfect Circuit, I've never had any luck with them for that.

Panharmonium had a lot of latency, and it also updated its spectral snapshot no faster than 17ms according to the manual (it sure felt slower than that though). It felt like it would have been cool updating on the beat but you couldn't do that with it. Walker said Spectraphon has "no latency" (for whatever that really means), and when capturing an array does it every 1ms by default. It's probably running on much faster hardware, and I expect also using a smarter/faster algorithm for the analysis.

it's not available here for pre-order yet anywhere ive seen.

tbh, i feel like it's just no one wants my money. a few other things im after aren't in stock anywhere :x (not synths, just general stuff)

In the SAM mode, and with vocoder effects in mind, i wonder what the sonic range of the carrier/osc is. It seems capable of talkboxy effects but a warmer sound is also neat.
So how does the osc operate in that SAM mode?

It was mentioned in the Walker video that it runs on a newly developped platform in terms of hard and software which made things possible that you couldn t do before and would bring the module where no man has gone before. Sales pitch talk aside, it will definitely run faster.

I don't know what it is, but I dislike watching her speak to the camera... Maybe there's someone from childhood that triggers a memory, who knows.

I do appreciate the technical descriptions.

I can appreciate the noises for the covering the range of things, but definitely looking forward to hearing it in a musical context. I guess in time I'll make my own.
Not quite ready to pre-order. I might save buying for after an upcoming trip.

i went through her introduction, thinking she was wearing some kind of head gear, with a jewel or something on her forehead.
i then realised, it was a small piece of bud, stuck on my phone screen

Like that third grade teacher who was always too calm for words and never reacted to your rage but always made you feel like you were the problem. Yeah, bitch, I'm not the problem. Ok, maybe I was the problem.

I find it easy to fall into the trap of thinking that things are necessary to make music, of course they're not. The thing with things that create weird sounds is that I already have a shit-ton of stuff that makes weird sounds. So, unless I can specifically link some technical feature to some particular sound that I really want, and this can include that it allows you to evolve the sound easily, I just don't get that excited.

With stuff like this, there's always a learning curve and I find that I just don't use that stuff as much, looking at your Morphagene. I prefer lots of little fundamental building blocks that can be combined to realize my sound ideas. I'm far less into flashy digital "flagship" sources and processors. I especially feel this way if it's digital.

I'm getting along great with the 292t and it was the right thing, at least so far, to pay for four LPGs and, as a bonus, I get the very nice Buchla/Tiptop ergonomics.

 ... yeah, whew. Now I can go back to amassing more bits to add to my 'un-finished projects' list(s), to up my standing for the random "stumbled upon this" in a 'someday' box, and prep for the annual not quite 'round-toit' disclosure competition.

Ha, i m still not in. I ll let you guys be the Guinea pigs. :clown:
I see merits in the vocoder stuff and the osc spectral array stuff.

I still wonder if i can do this ambient dust thing of the panharmonium.
I m not seeing anything that relates to multiplier, voices and waveform in the Spectraphon.

Could you fast adopters check if you can get something ambienty like that?
