Yes, I know about Fusion-IR. But I listened to some A/B's between Seventh Heaven and the hardware M7, and IMHO the Bricasti box sounds much nicer. More open, livelier.

I'm still hoping for a true algo emulation from Savant or Relab.

I didn't read it like that. Either way the GUI is really terrible for obvious reasons. And I mean this in regards to pure UI-functionality, not prettyness (which is always a matter of taste).

The font is bad so for that reason alone already in order to use it comfortably I need to resize the GUI to a size where - due to the on a computer completely nonsensical 19inch rack-device based ratio - it doesn't really fit on my screen anymore . And my eyes certainly aren't getting any better (and yes, I am using reading-glasses).

It mimics the emulated device by colour (well, that not really either actually) and fake 19inch appearance alone. The actual knobs however have nothing to do with the Yardstick, so it doesn't really look like a Yardstick anyway and that is how I interpreted gentleclockdivider's post. Why would you mimick the rack-apperarance of a digital reverb that comes without much in the way of controllers anyway? The 19inch format makes perfect sense for the hardware but absolutely zero for the plugin. It's just totally in the way of the user. It's my honest opinion that it would be more user-friendly if it came with NO GUI AT ALL like the Airwindows plugins do.



So yeah, you can hate on me all you like now but that's my opinion. And it has nothing to do with the lovely sound of the plugin - so there's absolutely no point in saying "but it sounds great" - yes, it does indeed, but that is another topic altogether.

Btw.: over at Gearspace people posted non-19inch-like GUI mockups as suggestions back when V1 came out already that were great improvements, so it is absolutely not the first time Savant is being confronted with people voicing their strong dislike for the chosen GUI ratio.

Exactemundo , all I said is that using flat controls from the juce stock gui library on a Photorealistic front panel comes over as amateurish gui design .
Gui elements should tie together .
NOthing has been said about the soundquality , if I didn't ike the sound of the plugin I wouldn't even bother commenting , it deserves a classy gui .
If savantaudio overhauls the gui then good for them , I am sure it will get them more exposure , if not , no problem either .
That's all , people can interpret my comment how they want to but I think I was perfectly clear from the beginning .

It’s not great, but “really terrible” seems a bit hyperbolic. I’m a UI designer, so I think about these things a lot. Could it use a UI pass? Sure. Could it use a UX pass? Definitely. There’s no reason to mimic a LCD screen on a device using an LCD screen. That’s just dumb, but I get why they want to remind people of the original hardware a bit. I think this can be done without that kind of clutter. So, of course it can be improved, but “really terrible?” I disagree. I need reading glasses too and it seems OK. If they were asking LiquidSonics money for it, I might be a bit more vocal about the UI, but for $74, I’ll give it a pass.

esp "RT60MAIN" might give you the right spot for smaller rooms

actually i do like the GUI because of its sinplicity
just a few dials, longer tail/shorter tail, little bit delay here and there
that's about it...

I've been doing that, but my results are a bit hit or miss. Was hoping the developer had some recommendations for various smaller room types that incorporated those controls, as well as correlation, density, bandwidth, etc.

Hello, at the moment the presets only reflect the hardware presets. We might add more presets in the future, but I would suggest the following tips for quickly creating any room. The algorithm is designed to rapidly morph spaces with only a few controls:

Let's say that I want to emulate a medium room, such as AR Studio Two:

1) Set the RTMain to desired length, in this case around 1.25 seconds.
2) Reduce RTHigh and Bandwidth in tandem to reduce highs in the room. I would suggest around 10kHz bandwidth, and .4 or .63 RTHigh
3) If necessary, adjust RTLow. Larger rooms will have a more pronounced bass boost

That's it! I think you create your own rooms faster than pulling up a preset menu
