Do they ever release a one osc version like with Maths and Function.
Just one of these would already be nice and easier on hp and the wallet.

See, just rub some lube along the top of your wallet and let go of your inhibitions. Your fingers slip right in and fly out holding a big wad of bills and before you can say "Make Noise is not my daddy" the module slides into your rack and you'll be lost in wide module ecstasy. You'll be so giddy with swoon++ that you won't have time to wonder why you ever entertained the silly notion of taking on only one of those big oscillators at a time.

tl; dr: Take two, they're big.

Caltrans replaced Beehive (Plaits clone) for an extra 2hp.

uO_C might replace Qu-Bit Cascade for the other 2hp.

I am not grasping yet how spectral analysis relates to traditional sampling.
If you would clock the analysis, and you would input some classic waveshapes in a structured way, into the 1024 possible spectra snapshots, what would be the result.
E.g. if you input a supersaw, would it not try to represent that supersaw as closely as possible by generating a ton of sine waves? And if you scan through that array of classic waveshape snapshots, you could use it somewhat as a wavetable osc.

tbh i do not know, the second oscillator section, does confuse me a little on how it works.
the sam seems fairly straightforward, but sao im going to need a bit more "walk through" than sales pitch.
this wednesdays video will hopefully clear some more bits up, but im guessing it will be a few videos to make up the full 101 or one hell of a long one!

we'd do a hell of a lot of the work on the computer, adding single cycle waves to for example a morphagene reel (sadly 99 max) with the sample as clock too

as to what would happen with the information once added to the arrays, i may tell you in a couple of weeks, although knocking up a morphagene reel of 99 single cycle waves, really isn't my idea of fun

This where is my thought process went with the question… It seems possible, but playing the cycles and before that, prepping the cycles could be tedious with likely varying results.

Dunno. I was thinking to use a slow clock and clock the input and array sampler on the same clock.
So you have a trigger/clock going off, and you have your to-be-sampled input going off on that trigger and at the same time the Spectraphon is triggered to sample it.

Or you could carefully prepare a wav sample with different waveshapes and then have that go into the Spectraphon.

With this careful preparation of arrays, that is also why i d like a way to export and import arrays, but i guess that is not going to happen (being a digital device, there is no reason why you couldn t. ) Hell, in some spectral vst s you can just import an image and hear it as sound.....
