I’ve got shitloads of work to finish off tonight, but the temptation to just download the new granular sampler heavy firmware for the Microfreak is strong,
Meanwhile tried out my Qu Bit Surface, lovely sounding thing, looking forward to building something around its bass.

I think that's where you have/offer the audio portion of the program as 'out-takes', like, of your reaction to when you accidentally exhale into your bong, and the flaming embers land on your lap.vurt wrote: Fri May 12, 2023 8:13 pm set up a patreon page (after someone suggested it) jeebus, they dont half expect you to do some work!

Suggestions should have an example. Ergo:vurt wrote: Fri May 12, 2023 8:13 pm one of the suggestions for patron rewards was "an exciting phonecall with you"

Them: "hey man, hows it goin'?"
You: [sound similar to air being drawn through a large straw] ... {dramatic pause} ... "Huh?"
Them: "hello" ... "hell-lo-o"
You: [eventually] ... "Huh?"
Them: "hey man, can I get some samples?"
You: ... "you just DID, you vacuous ingrate!"

Of course, all real professionals have a manager who takes 10% off the top
Back on topic, today I practiced playing chords to different phrases that I was vocoding. I have actually had a VST vocoder since the 2000's, not Orange Vocoder because that was a fortune, something called Vokko from a Canadian developer... Almost never used it because I couldn't get it to sound good with pre-recorded vocals. Perhaps it shows my lack of talent, but I have to play around with notes to find what works and that is doubly so for chords. So I have no experience with a real, physical vocoder and I now know I will need to practice changing chords to the different words because I know that sounds best just like I know I have to play a beat while doing it to keep time.

If you’ve got an Arturia MicroFreak then you’ve got a hardware vocoder.

No music making, but organizing and getting rid of unused stuff.
I donated lots of books, but now I have a better home for these guys.
I’m going to buy a 3-tier rack for the Make Noise desktops since it’ll fit better when not in use (and free up even more space).
