your own voice is the only one you ever hear in your head?

that's interesting and seems to fit given your posting habits. solipsism is a way of life for some people.

If a developer doesn't know that an aspect of a project he's created has problems, then he/she won't recognise, the magnitude of the issue. It's in the developers interest, to know what works for people, regardless of their experience because developers can't always be right.
Mate... Keep this statement in mind and check the replies on your own Hive re-design thread again... It's a bit hilarious to hear after what I've read there when it comes to your own posts.

That said and nonsense aside, I must say I completely agree with you in principle. Just bear in mind that 1, or even a few/couple, replies here on KVR is not necessarily enough to warrant (or 'demand' if you will) an alternative solution. There might be a large number of people using the software with other opinions, also outside of KVR ;)

My personal opinion; either way is fine. My gripe with demo software is often that I cannot save presets (Screenshots aside). Just when I've created a cool sound when in demo mode, and want to use after purchasing. I do understand though why such kind of demo limitation is being implemented. ;)

I really wish more developers would have the same confidence in their products and trust in their potential customers, as u-he and offer decent demo conditions. 30min (or less) time limits, no save/recall and or aggressive audio interruptions and sometimes all three and more, are a massive turn off. Imagine taking a car for a weekend test drive, but you can't go over 30mph and the radio blasts out a reminder every 60s to "buy this car".
Always Read the Manual!

In the case of the car you'd have some kind of governing organizations (At least in most countries AFAIK) which can check whether or not the car is insured and/or registred correctly. So you can indeed test drive without limits and, generally speaking, would not be able to come far if you choose to keep the car illegaly.

Funny thing is, we have something much like this when it comes to plugins: ilok. This enables you to test a plugin, within a certain timeframe, without further limitations. Though people seem to dislike ilok as well I'm afraid....

What confidence has to do with the protection?! Omnisphere has no demo at all. Does that mean Eric Persing lacks the confidence in his product?!

Developers are free to have the way to protect their software. I personally just want to know if the product runs fine in my system and usually looks for reviews and demonstration on the net because they give good examples on how the synth sound and function.

Regarding Saurus and other Tone2 synths, I find them with excellent sound quality and very CPU friendly. My only criticism is that the presets generally sound very load. I usually lower the volume. But that is a minor especially when I do my own presets and not browsing. They are lovely synths, "buy now" as martiu always says :hihi:
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

GUI resizing?
After the update (thanks for that) the GUI was bigger. I got the wrong size when resizing. It's huge now and I can't get to the bottom right. Is there another way to change the size?

I was checking and it seems the standalone doesn't have scroll bars anymore.
I'm using v4.02 here.

If you accidently should have selected a size larger than you screen these solutions are available:

A) Use the standalone. It has scrollbars. Than change the size
or
B) In Saurus click on Config then Size.
or
C) Delete Saurus4EditorSize.cfg in the saurus_sound directory

The synth is smart and shows a warning message when you select a size that is too large for your screen. One should not ignore warnings. ;-)

Solution1 (PC): Run the standalone. It has scrollbars.
or
Solution2: In the blue box on the right click 'Config' then 'Size'.
or
Solution3(PC): Go to the installation directory then Saurus_Sounds. Delete Saurus4EditorSize.cfg
Solution3(Mac): Go to Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Saurus_Sounds. Delete Saurus4EditorSize.cfg

No. The standalone on PC has scrollbars. They are faded-out when they are not necessary to save screenspace.

Thanks, fix with standalone works.
Yeah, there was a warning, but from 66% (ok) to 75% (much to big :o ) seems not so a big change... :D

One of my favorite synths!

Besides all the nice features it has, I also like the template presets which can jump-start your sound design.

Looking forward to this..

This doesn't affect me cause I already have it, but since this thread will now be bumped, might want to consider also adding Saurus 4 to your Black Friday Sales specials.
my unsolicited 2 cents.
