Same here. Including Sarah's (and others) 'style' of (overly disjointed) "performance" noise making. A snippet here and there, is appealing/interesting... that I would sample, and use as a noise 'source' or form of modulation elsewhere, for example. But there is too frequently, a lack of foundation, or continuity, for my tastes.

I'm intrigued by the potential of the SAO mode grabbing bits from the Qu-Bit Scanned, Data Bender, Aurora, and the Echophon's pitch shifting feedback (with Pittsburgh Modular's dual ring, and phase shifter).

some lovely sounds in that!
not all sounds im personally looking to use, but he did get a bit "out there" with the sam mode and it did give me a better idea than previous videos of how it works as much as how it sounds 8)

This has been the best explanation so far for me. .
I was more impressed with him covering the osc mode than the SAM mode. As i understand, you can output a pretty rich sound. You have a sub one octave down, have the complete sound, have a sine on the base frequency and you can offset the even harmonics up to an octave. :hyper:
And that s just one osc. If you put the second in follow mode and tune it to a nice ratio, you have something nice going.

I hope the next video covers SAM in more detail. He didn t do much with it. Not even one robot from Mars.

a little bit underwhelmed with the 101. Hoping CL will live up to his usual standard.

OMG! ... That was amazing!!! The man is sooo good at what he does. I was grinninglikeanidiot the whole time. :D

It does e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g I imagined, anticipated, hope for, and then some! The 'envelope follower' output is such a bonus! 8)

still think i need more hands on with the arrays before it sinks in, but the sam i can kind of understand whats going on, if not all the actual science behind it, but what the controls "should" do (obviously this will depend on source material i imagine)
