Other than being yet another doppler effect, I am sure it has some unique features but the general intent is hardly that unique. I am sure it's a very nice doppler effect however - I have a couple of their other products and they are top notch.

Let me explain what might not be obvious but is going on behind the scenes of DopplerPRO.

i cannot midi map the speed mode switching.

I tried the demo. I get it. It sounds nice. It's still mostly a panner to me, with the usual pitch etc effects that can be used on certain sounds to simulate a doppler effect along with the panning. There are other like this out there. I had assumed without demoing that this was "just another one of those pseudo-doppler effects". It's slightly better than that. But for my use, it's something I can pass buying. I can see it being used to good effect for cinematic sound effects with accompanying visuals. From my demoing with various kinds of electronic tracks that I typically work with, it didnt offer enough to justify the price. YMMV so try the demo for yourself.

Hey Funky40, thanks for the positive feedback. Your suggestions are noted for the next update. What do you mean by demo mode? The plugin has no demo mode... the license expires after 14 days. Your full license should not change anything in the operation but simply never expire.

Does this make sense? Or am I overseeing something?

are you a modularsynth guy ? i was ! i was very deep into it.
point is in so so so many cases just this: -> the modulations !
respectivly: how to bring live into a parametrisation that would be liveless otherwise, if no modulation or animation was present.

many tools differ there vs. its "access" to ever same functionalitys.
yeah, maybe there are other tools which would deliver same ?
Maybe do i even have some of these allready ? idk

all other picthshifters and doopler FX have *never* led me to do any such jamm sessions.
While this doppler brought me to places that felt like dealing with modules in my modular ( long time not touched btw. )
....thats the whole point here "for me". As is with buying new modules !
( me: NOT doing any production works / i work on completly different bases )

then i´d say: turn it around please: look at it as my "personal enthusiasm".

thats what i meant with "demo mode"....the expiring license.
guess i wait until it expires, prompting me to renew the license.

no clue why, but in recent days i have problems to activate ilok based licences.
i´ve not found anything, where to enter my purchased full license ( with other things overloaded brain)

Well, you have direct experience with it for me so your opinion about it trumps mine. I should demo it. I'll be the one to tell me to demo it before saying anything. I just get itchy when the marketing hype gets to a certain point. I do like Tonstrurm and have a few of their other products which are excellent. I also have had less than good experience with other panners that claim to be realistic. It can't be any more realistic than a pair of speakers or headphones can reproduce, which is not very realistic. If we are talking about a multi-transducer 360 surround monitoring system, thats another story. Right/Left reproduction is not very accurate, there is only so much you can do.

Well, it's simply a much more accurate, authentic, complete, feature-rich and versatile emulation of the Doppler-effect than anything else I've come across so far. And how stunningly well they managed to model the physics of it you can already hear in the introduction-video. Plus all the crucial parameters can be automated artifact-free.

Just to make sure: the claim the Doppler-effect was mere panning is of course insanely absurd.
(It would be really funny if it wasn't so tragic coming from a regular on a forum like this.)
