I work for a CD/DVD duplication company in Chiswick. I might be able to give you a "mate" price. www.adaptatech.co.uk . Rather lousy website, but we are working on it  We can do 50 copies or 50.000 if you think you have a hit up your sleeve :D
Pm me or call the number on the website if you want a quote.

I did search too, all I could find was for a 3 track ep with simple artwork, black on silver basic.

they wanted about £2 a cd for a 50x run.

what a joke. :x

I ended up getting a TDK thermal printer and a decent BubbleJet Printer and DIY.

seems unless your going for maybe 500+ the price is way too high.

I hope I am wrong.

i've never looked into that. I guess you can buy paper that's the correct shape for inlays too.

what's the quality like with bubblejet printing on cds? How does it compare to silkscreened commercial ones?

Bubblejet (inkjet) is quite nice, better than silkscreen apart from solid colors. Silkscreen is quite low resolution. But with pressing you also have the choice of litho printing which is better than inkjet.

no idea, im using a TDK thermal printer for on cd.

the BJ is just for covers.

 Thermal printer. They are a lot more expensive than inkjet printers. How much did you pay?

Regarding quality, I'd say thermal looks a bit like silkscreen, where as inkjet looks like litho. Thermal is not that great at solid colors but great at images. And it has a glossy finish on top of the CD unlike inkjet, so they do look more pro.

no it's just a 1 color TDK, cheap. £85

I do black on silver, this is all the cd dupe companys offered me.
